I woke up when I felt the flight attentant touch my shoulder. I looked at her.
"Better buckle up, dear. We're going to land." I nodded sleeply and sat up, yawning.
"Okay..." I buckled and sat back, closing my eyes. It seems like seconds had past when we were able to get off. I, of course, got off last with my being so tired. Once I was off and through security, I looked around helpless. I didn't know where to go! I walked to the doors and looked out, looking for something to help me. Finally turning around on the spot, I noticed a black guy in a suit, holding a paper with my name on it. Sighing in relief, I walked up.
"Yazmine Frost?" I nodded. He smiled and motioned outside. "This way, please. Any baggage, Ms. Frost?"
"No, thank you. I'm good." He nodded and opened the door to the black shiny limousine. I gaped at it for a bit as he stood there, holding it open.
"Ms. Frost?" I blinked and shook my head to clear my mind.
"Uh, yeah. sorry." I climbed in and looked around. There is pop in here?! Sweet! Seeing the pop made me realize I was starving, so I dug right in and started drinking some mountain dew. I mean, come on. What else did you expect a seventeen year old teenager to do around pop. After downing three glasses of pop, the limo stopped. I watched as the driver got out and went to the the door on my side of the car. When he opened it, I stepped out and was completely breathless. There, in front of me, was the most beautiful castle-like structure I have ever seen. I gaped again and looked at the driver. I nodded to him as he went back to the driver's side and drove away. Looking back at the building, I took a deep breath and walked up, pushing open the door to see an elegant hallway scattered with kids, chatting. They all turned to look at me as I walked in. I smiled a little. I wasn't exactly shy, but I wasn't a chatterbox either. I looked around with my hands in my sweatshirt pocket, holding on to the money, pictures, and the necklace Jesse gave me as I looked for the office or whatever.
"Isn't that the new girl?"
"She's American, I think."
"What is she here for?" Whispering broke out around me as I looked at the students. Suddenly, I bumped into a warm, firm, body. I stumbled a little and the whispering stopped.
"Oh, sorry. I didn't see you there." I looked up at the guy as he smirked down at me.
"Yeah, you should be sorry." I rolled my eyes.
"Oh, great. Another asshole to deal with." I muttered a little to loud.
"Excuse me? What did you call me?" I smirked at his surprise.
"Ass. Hole. Now tell me where the office is or whatever I need to go to get my stuff up and running. I want this to go as smoothly as possible." His nostrils flared in anger as he stood up to me.
"No one ever stands up to me. I'm the King of this school." I put my hands on my hips.
"Did you put that title on yourself? Because it's doesn't go good with your complextion." Gasps filled the room. I smirked as he gritted his teeth and pointed his finger at me. Me? I didn't move an inch. I wasn't intimidated by him. He was nothing to me. I had so much shit to deal with at home, he was nothing I couldn't handle.
"I'll make your life a living hell here, new kid." I leaned as close as I could without touching him.
"Bring it on." He got pulled away by his friends, his eyes never leaving mine til he turned the corner. I looked around at everyone as they started clapping. One girl walked up, looking impressed.
"Wow, either you like a challenge. Or you've dealt with people like him before." I shrugged.
"Long story. I've dealt with people like him. Nothing new." She chuckled and held her hand out.
