I Refuse

"Well, Raphael thinks that he's so special that he doesn't have to go through training!!" The Angels around the training area started to laugh at Raphael. There was no way that any Angel could be too good to go through the training. Even the ancient went through training and he is the leader of all the Angels. However, Raphael knew what his power was and the capabilities of the power. At nights when everyone was asleep, he would go out and practice what he knew. Each day his power became stronger as the days went on. He knew that he was very strong and was also capable of being able to overpower Angel. Besides, the ancient told him that he seen his name is in the scrolls of fate. Therefore, why wouldn't Raphael be able to master his power without the need of training? "Well," the leader spoke, "let us see why you think that you do not need to train." The leader stood back and waited as Raphael showed his power. Moments past and the Angel turned to something that nobody has ever seen. Raphael stood there and prepared. Raphael told the leader in a voice that rumbled the ground to shoot at Raphael with all the strength that he had. The leader stood confused for a while wondering why Raphael would want him to shoot at him with all of his strength. If he did so, it would kill Raphael, but the leader soon did what Raphael asked for. The leader unleashed a power of energy so harsh that at least half of the angels that were just watching the training had to fix something that tore from their outfit or change completely. The light faded 5 minutes later and Raphael stood there glowing in a blinding light untethered. The Angels wondered how it was even possible to be untethered by a blow that powerful. "Well, you do have some potential." The leader began. "You don't have enough potential, however, until you fire the shot back with the same amount of strength." Everyone stood there doubting he could do what it takes. No Angel alive (besides the ancient) could accomplish such thing. Against every doubt however, Raphael murmured a couple words and shot the beam upwards with the same amount of energy. "You are indeed ready Raphael. Ready for what may be something that will change who you are and what you find important in life."
