Fun Fact 1:
Billie's favorite food is vegetarian lasagana and root beer

Billie has a guitar that is made with lots of different parts. It's called Frankenstein.

For the video for Jaded, because the lyrics are about being stoned and how you feel when you're stoned. Billie decided to get high while shooting the video just to get the feel for the song

Billie Joe hates Slipknot. He said that the masks "Are so fucking retarded", and one time, a fan threw some screwed up mask on the stage, and when Billie Joe picked it up he looked in disgust and said, "Were not fucking Slipknot, you asshole!"

In early 2001 Billie was mugged at gunpoint and is now terrified of guns

Billie Joe and Adrienne split for awhile during the Dookie period. She got engaged to some other guy in Minneapolis and he was seeing some girl (the song "she" is about her). Thank God they got back together!

Before releasing American Idiot the band was working on an album called Cigarettes and Valentines, but the master tapes were stolen from the studio and the band started a new album instead: American Idiot.

In the Nimrod-Warning era the band nearly broke up and Billie Joe contemplated a solo career. Mike Dirnt later commented that after surviving that the band was unlikely to split. This is a band you only leave in a coffin.

BJ has played with Pinhead Gunpowder, Goodbye Harry, Blatz, and one Lookouts track. Plus a couple others. Mike has played with Screeching Weasel and Corrupted Morals. In recent years he has been playing with his other band, The Frustrators. Tre has played with the Lookouts. Billie, Mike, and John formed Sweet Children prior to changing their name to Green Day .

Why do they sound British?
They like to have fun, and they like to emulate the sounds that they enjoy. It's all for having a good time. And yes, they do like to parody the stereotypical "punk rock" genre and look. Billie Joe admitted to MTV-Europe, "I sound like an Englishman impersonating an American impersonating an Englishman."

Billie Joe played "Ghostly Betting Man" on the show Haunted in 2002. The episode is named "Simon Redux." It has never aired in the U.S.
