the girl's lips curved into a smile as her brown eyes followed the night sky above her head, all the stars blinked at her.
the sky was filled with fireworks. it was the day of the inauguration afterall. loosing the straps of her tote bag which was now hanging lowly on her shoulder she watched the sparkling fireworks which were vanishing while another one took its place.
steller was back again. the interlinked network system was going to be reintroduced soon. a giant holographic display floated above the city square, broadcasting the anticipated comeback.

all the crowds gathered. people cheered as the countdown ended. the air was filled with excitement, hope, and a sense of a new beginning that was waiting ahead.
"we are here!"
seoyun looked over her shoulder as she spotted her friends along with their lovers. they waved at her amongst the bustling crowd.
naomi ran to her. "yo! congrats!" all of her friends hugged her at once.
"thank you," she smiled brightly. today was the day, she fulfilled her promise to him, her promise to work hard, her promise to do it for her world.
"steller is back!" chaein exclaimed this time as seoyun nodded as she flushed a smile.
"you're one successful woman, seoyun," jake shook his hand with her. "thank you, i'm grateful to all of you."
and to him, of course.
how fast the time flew for her. joon and jake were already dating, chaein and sunghoon recently got married and naomi? she was already engaged with jay.
she turned her gaze away for a second as she scanned the crowd. it had become a habit now. to search for someone. to search for him. she had become so used to it now.
then she noticed someone.
her heart stopped.
one glance was all it took for her.
the sounds of the bustling crowd faded into the background, leaving only the pounding of her heart in her ears.
she blinked, afraid he would vanish like a mirage. but he didn't. his eyes met hers as they both stood at a distance in the crowd of people but for seoyun all the others were blurry except him.
she recalled the promise she had made to heeseung.
"someday if you meet the heeseung in your world, please say hi. will you do that for me? "
so she had kept her promise.
"hi," she whispered but for some odd reason the whisper was loud enough to reach his ear.
"hey."
he replied back.
