THIS IS MY HOME

The drive to her estate is a little over an hour from the center of the city so Sophie closes her eyes and remembers the good times she had with her maternal grandparents. Sadly, her visits were brief as her father only allowed her to stay with them a few days of her school intercessions and only if he and her stepmother didn't have plans which required them to play the "Happy Perfect Family" for their friends or business associates.

Sophie's real mother died in an accident when she was 3 years old and her father re-married 2 years later for business alliance and to give Sophie a mother figure. The new Mrs. Sung had few maternal instincts and never wanted to ruin her figure having kids so she was never cruel or mean to her step-daughter especially since she had been warned by her husband that she would be cut off if she ever thought of mistreating his heiress!

Fortunately, Sophie had her nana Mrs. Choi who took care to raise her along with her own son and daughter until Sophie was old enough to go to boarding school. Mrs. Choi's husband was the SLS's estate manager and after Gran and Grandpa passed away before Sophie went away to college, they were assigned to look after Sophie's inheritance. Nana manages the house, Mr. Choi is the groundskeeper and their son Eunwoo is the manager of the vineyard for SLS wines.

Turning into the drive of her home, Sophie becomes excited and scans the area. Although it's evening and dark she can see the house past the lighted driveway and also a large bonfire to the side and back of the house. Signaling Jackson and Jimin to drive over they see several people crowding around two people and looks like a fight.

When Sophie gets out of the car she sees Eunwoo and his sister Mina in the center with Eunwoo sporting bruises and a cut lip. Running into the circle she kicks the man about to swing at Eunwoo and knocks him down on his face. Everything goes silent as they all stare at Sophie and the two newcomers who flank Sophie, both in fighting stance. When the man rises from the ground, he turns and glares at Sophie yelling "who the Hell do you think you are little girl and why are you trespassing on my land and butting into my business?"

Sophie walks right up to this arrogant ass and smirking asks "Well, before I answer you tell me why you are lying and saying this is 'YOUR' land? How are you related to the Lee's since this is the Lee Family Estate?"

The man says "Kim Heechul's my name and my woman is the owner of this estate so you and your boyfriends should leave before you get hurt!" Laughing Sophie asks "Wow! I didn't know I have such an OLD boyfriend! Hey guys, when did I get such a bully for a boyfriend and no one told me?'"

Kim Heechul continues to glare while Sophie and her group start laughing. Crossing her arms over her chest Sophie glares back at Heechul and says "Look here Kimchee, the sign on those gates read SLS Estates. Do you know what that stands for? No, well I'll tell you it's for Sophia Lee Sung and I'll bet that isn't the name of your 'woman' is it?" Heechul and his group now look confused but Sophie goes on to say "and can you guess what my name is Kimee?"

"Are you Zora Ahn Sung's stepdaughter?" he asks now finally realizing he's facing the real owner. "Zora said her husband gave her this estate when they separated and since he lives with his mistress in the city."

Closing her eyes in embarrassment at having her family dirty laundry aired in front of Jimin and Jackson, Sophie yells out, "THIS HAS NEVER BEEN MY FATHER'S MUCH LESS MY STEPMOTHER'S SO ALL OF YOU GET THE FUCK OFF MY PROPERTY BEFORE I KICK YOUR ASSES OFF MYSELF!"

Heechul's friends run to their cars and leave but Heechul angrily stalks towards the house. Sophie then turns to Eunwoo and Mina with a hug and asks if they're okay. "Yes, you arrived just in time sis! I was about to beat some serious ass!" Mina shoves him and says, "Sure looked like your ass was seriously getting kicked bro!"

"Looks like I have some 'house cleaning' to do!" Sophie walks to the house and finds her stepmom being yelled at by her boy toy. When Zora sees Sophie, she exclaims, "My daughter, you're home! Why didn't you tell me you were coming?" with her fake smile. Sophie replies with a much sweeter and even more fake smile, "because I heard rumors that people were trying to impersonate being the owners here but now that I'm back I want you and your boy toy Kimchee here to leave MY house immediately!"

The next day, Sophie awakens early to the sounds of her stepmother and Mr. Kimchee arguing about the move to the only hotel Zora stills owns from the Ahn inheritance. Sophie quickly takes charge and calls for a household meeting of all residents and staff and assigns tasks to clean from top to bottom. This causes Zora and her 'guest' to finish packing and leave immediately before they get put to actual work.

During the next two days, Sophie and Jimin tour the estate with Eunwoo to see what remodels or upgrades are needed to the house and grounds. Eunwoo also excitedly presents ideas for better production in the winery which Sophie readily approves being impressed with her brother's ideas.

Later that night, Jimin gets a call from Namjoon inviting them to a night out to meet with him and the COO and Media Director of IWD. Since everything is now running smoothly at the estate, Sophie agrees and also looks forward to seeing the new apartments where she and Jimin will be living at in the city.

Before leaving, Nana Choi pulls Sophie to the side and warns her to try to stay away from Zora and especially from Heechul as she's heard he has bad connections to the underworld. Sophie assures her she will and will notify her father she's back and about Zora so he'll most likely also assign her more security in the city.

Then Nana mentions something that makes Sophie laugh out loudly but stays in the back of her mind on the drive back. "Don't forget to broach the subject of ending your 'betrothal' with your father. We've been hearing rumors since before your graduation of upcoming plans with the Jeons. And according to Eunwoo, that young Jeon is an international playboy with a quick temper!"
