different worlds I see,
a change from who I am now,
to who I once was,
I was ignorant,
to assume that I knew all,
but I knew enough,
I once knew enough,
to write haiku's that feel good,
but now I'm not sure,
blinded by my faults,
I cannot see that clearly,
even to this day,
past self wasn't wrong,
he was inexperienced,
he did not know life,
and neither do I,
who am I to claim i know,
when I'm still confused,
different worlds I see,
now offer me different views,
views I've longed to see,
firm in the belief,
that no one has a damn clue,
no one really knows,
can't figure it out,
no one knows life's true meaning,
so why even care,
I see the sun sets,
hear the crows during the night,
I can see it all,
I see a new world,
filled with demons and hatred,
but It's internal,
I see a new tree,
with a creature on It's roots,
that it dearly loves,
I see a flower,
it started with stones but grew,
seeding a new life,
I see an apple,
re-painting its wax coating,
just so it looks fresh,
I see a phoenix,
who will not flap his own wings,
but he'll one day soar,
I see a mirror,
reflections that have shattered,
will always grow strong,
I see potential,
but potential does not see,
that it has itself,
I see a small boy,
who is afraid to say words,
so he writes haikus,
