prologue.

having just moved to kanagawa after a rough road trip from somewhere else in japan, she couldn't quite recall, but even though the ride wasn't at all an entertainment, [name] kept herself busy, by either playing with one of the many expensive toys that she had received, or to just lookout for cute birds and watch the scenery as her and her family passed by in the car.

she never really thought about having much friends, as she traveled then and there for her modeling career, which started since she was such a small child, and she had fun, definitely, but [name] couldn't help but to yearn for something a little more than temporary fun, she was a child after all, you couldn't blame her.

parking infront of a house, she overheard her parents sigh in relief as the drive finally came to a stop, muttering something about finally settling in 'kamakura' — was this kamakura? probably.

"papa, the house is so big." she, [name], commented about the second floor home infront of her as her dad came and opened the car door, watching her as she hopped out of the car.

"ofcourse, [name], it's for you, after all." her dad chuckled, patting her head, a soft smile etched on his face, she could tell he was tired, but still managed to be just a little nicer to her.

with a giggle, she nodded, running around the front of the car to meet with her mother, who just ended a call with some random.

"mama, you told me that there's a playground around, i want to go." [name] tugged on her mother's shirt, her other hand grasping at her own skirt.

"[name], dear? you want to go, right now?" her mother looked down at her, then picked the girl up with ease, setting her down on the car's hood, her head slightly tilted to the side with a soft smile plastered on her face, she adored you, [name].

she nodded her head many times, a smile growing on her face. "yes, yes! mama, i want to play!" she smiled, mimicking her mother's actions with her own tilt of her head, though it looked like she just broke her neck, then readjusted back to normal.

"alright, since you did so well last week with your shoots, i guess we can go." [name]'s mother nodded, tucking hair behind her ear, watching as she let out a giggle.

she soon hopped off the hood and grasped her smaller fingers into her mother's hand, excitedly waiting for her mom to inform her father.

after a quick exchange of words, [name]'s mother squatted to meet her height, her hands on [name]'s shoulders, a slightly more stern expression on her face as she warned her.

"now, [name], this is a new neighborhood so if there are any other kids, you be on your best behavior, alright?" her mother instructed, taking a hand off one of her shoulders to point an index finger up. "but, when anybody else is giving you a hard time, go to me, immediately, alright? i've got your back."

"yes, mama, i understand." she nodded, looking up at her mother as she watched her stand up with [name] in her arms, waving goodbye and a short exchange of words with her father before walking along.

this neighborhood was beautiful, pretty trees, pretty road, pretty.. everything? [name] thought, there was a beach too!

it wasn't a long walk before [name]'s mother set her down onto the sand, backed onto a bench and sat down, keeping a close eye on her daughter's figure as she was a tad bit paranoid.

[name] played for a while, maybe she should've brought her toys, but the different playsets were fun enough.

she entertained herself for approximately fifteen minutes before her mother called out to her, saying that it was time to go. and once she got her mother's signal, she hopped off the swingset and starting making way with her mother, before something made her halt.

a soccer ball, bouncing back after it hit [name]'s foot.

"rin, it went over there!" an older voice instructed, in which a young boy ran up and approached you, unable to find the words to ask for the ball beneath your feet.

"is this.. yours?" she said as she picked the ball up and handed it infront to the ravenette boy infront.

"ah, um.. yes." he nodded, shyly picking the ball from your hands and looking away. what should he say?

"say 'thank you', rin." the other boy approached, he was much taller. placing a hand on his shoulder, glancing at you, then back to the shorter boy.

"t- thank you." 'rin' awkwardly stammered infront of you, then looked up at the taller boy.

"good job; thank you." he patted rin's head, thanked you, then walked away with him.

were they brothers? oh well, she didn't have time to care about them, she had to go home!
