you squealed out rin's name excited as you helped pull him up atop his house's rooftop right after you climbed up with his assistance, you were settling to sit down on the flat roof next to the boy with a close proximity, until his jacket covered around your pristine frame, your digicam in hand while you two counted down the seconds until the new year came.
"count down with me, rin!" she instructed with a big smile on her face, to which he rolled his eyes at, watching you closely whilst you turned the video feature on the camera on, flipping the screen with a gentle hand to make sure the camera faced the two of you as you videotaped the moment.
"ah, it's starting." she whispered, smiling at the camera whilst rin stared down at the ravenette girl, gazing into her [e/c] eyes with a fixated goal.
"rin, stop staring! you have to state your new year's resolution with me!" she poked his cheek with her free hand after slipping her arms through the jacket's sleeves, her knees gradually curling up to and against her chest. "mm." the boy hummed, sneakily snaking an arm around your waist, pulling you closer.
"new years resolution? to.. to play soccer more." he added, glancing at you before peeling his eyes off of your alluring figure and staring at the camera instead.
"any more? that's so boring! you play soccer anyway!" she huffed, rolling her eyes as her eyebrows furrowed downwards, it seems like his resolutions were always gonna be the same.
until he's gotten a change of mind.
he used his free hand and enveloped your hand holding the camera and pulling it closer to his own face, exhaling as he started whispering into the camera, "one of my resolutions this new year is to.. kiss [name]." rin mumbled into the camera, making sure it was loud enough for the camera to hear but low enough that she couldn't hear it. though it should come true, he'd make sure of that.
"huh? whatd you say?" she blinked twice, pulling her hand back after blowing a raspberry to the boy, just about to turn the video off to listen back to what he said.
"stop, no, you have to state your resolutions too." he placed his hand atop yours, quickly halting you of the decisions you were about to make.
"oh! right, i- i wish to spend more time with rin!" she nodded and spoke into the camera, a smile growing on her face as she beamed.
"and.. i want.. rin itoshi to kiss me. once is okay, but a million times is even better." she mumbled into the camera, looking to the side as she whispered with a mischievous intention, unknowing of the wish you two had innocently shared.
"hm? now you're whispering." he noticed, pulling you closer with the hand around your waist, to try and drop in on the conversation you started with the camera.
"nothing! you were whispering first!" she quickly retorted, flipping the camera as the neighbors ahead blew horns and honked cars for the new year, fireworks starting to fly up in the air.
the sight was beautiful no lie, but the boy who sat beside you was staring at something even more gorgeous—you.
"[name]," rin called out, squeezing your waist to gain your attention, making you turn to face him, chin craning upwards to equally face the boy.
"i like you, a lot." he spoke, but the sound of the fireworks made you unable to hear what he said.
you soon turned the camera to face the two of you again, the fireworks reflecting against the two of your guys' eyes, but there was no doubt the reflection of eachother was way larger.
"what? i cant- i can't hear you!" you shouted out a little louder, blinking twice as he reached his hand out and separated your bangs apart, placing a kiss against your forehead.
another, on your cheek, your other cheek, then several more times until he settled his twelfth kiss against your lips, which wasn't exactly a million but,
twelve, everyone's always said, eat 12 grapes, blueberries, whatever. he wanted to do something else and which is exactly what he did.
it took you by surprise, eleven kisses all over her face and one last on her lips, a lingering feeling you'd didn't want to let stop. you slowly shut your eyes, unable to notice the fact rin had covered the camera's lens with the palm of his hand, enveloping you in a gentle first kiss, pulling away for a second then coming right back for more.
he eventually took the camera off your hand and settled it on the rooftop as her leaned more into you, more into the kiss. the camera only picking up the sounds and your bodies pressed against eachother.
her hands reached out and wrapped her arms around his neck, whilst his hand held the back of her head, eventually bringing tongue into the kiss, which was soon stopped as he pulled away to let you breathe and catch your breath.
"ah.." she panted, her hands peeling away from his neck and holding herself up, licking her lips, she looked away, down to her camera to turn it off and save the video.
"happy new years, [name]." rin muttered, pressing a kiss on the corner of your lips, his teal eyes staring right into you with a satisfied expression, the corners of his lips pushing upwards just slightly.
looks like both of your wishes came true.
