Author's POV:
The room fell into an uneasy silence as Amir entered. All eyes turned to him, widening in shock. Saad noticed Roshni's startled expression and calmly turned to face Amir with a slight smirk.
"Assalamualaikum, Future Sasur ji," he greeted casually, his tone laced with both respect and playfulness.
Amir's jaw tightened as his anger flared. He closed the distance between them in a few long strides, grabbing Saad by the collar. "What are you doing here, Saad!?" he demanded, his voice sharp with fury.
Saad remained unfazed, gently prying Amir's hand off his collar. "Areyy! Calm down, Sasur ji," he said with an infuriatingly casual air, brushing invisible dust from his shirt. He looked Amir square in the eyes and added confidently, "I came here to meet my future wife."
Roshni's cheeks flushed a delicate pink at Saad's bold words, and she instinctively looked down, trying to hide her expression.
Amir's gaze darkened, his voice cold and measured. "How dare you address my daughter as your future wife? And what is this Sasur ji nonsense!?"
Saad raised an eyebrow and tilted his head slightly. "Okay," he said nonchalantly. "I'll call you Abbu—just like Roshni." He paused for a moment before continuing, "And as for daring? I dared because I love her."
Amir's patience snapped. His voice thundered through the room, "Just get the hell out of here!" He jabbed a finger towards the door.
Saad, unfazed by the outburst, maintained his calm demeanor. "Okay, Sasur ji, calm down," he replied, his voice steady as he placed a light, almost soothing touch on Amir's arm, as though trying to pacify him. Turning his attention back to Roshni, he said with a soft smile, "Take care, Roshni. I will come to meet you soon."
Amir's glare could have burned holes into Saad, who remained unfazed even as Amir grabbed his arm and began dragging him out of the room. "Allah Hafiz," Saad called back cheerfully. "Take care, Roshni," his gaze lingering on her until he was pulled out of sight.
Roshni couldn't help but raise a tentative hand in a slight wave before Amir returned, his face still stormy with anger. Sitting down on the chair beside her bed, he took a deep breath, trying to compose himself. "Dear," he began, his voice calmer but still strained. "What do you feel for him?"
Roshni hesitated for a moment before softly replying, "Abbu, mai Saad se mohabbat karti hu," her voice tinged with both shyness and determination as a blush crept back to her cheeks.
Amir's expression hardened, though he kept his voice level. "How are you so sure about your feelings?" he asked, trying to reason with her.
She looked him in the eye, her voice firm yet gentle. "Abbu, Allah gave me the sign that I truly love him. What more do I need to be sure?" A small, serene smile spread across her face.
Amir was left momentarily speechless. Her conviction silenced any further argument he could muster, and he left the room, troubled but resigned.
Days passed, and Roshni was finally discharged from the hospital. However, her longing to see Saad grew with each passing moment. Amir, aware of this, took extreme measures to ensure they couldn't meet, even going so far as to station guards at the entrance of the house.
One day, Amir entered her room, his tone brisk and authoritative. "Get ready and come down," he ordered.
Roshni, sitting on her bed, looked up at him curiously. "Why?" she asked, her brows furrowing.
"Just get ready and come down," he repeated curtly, not answering her question before abruptly leaving the room.
Confused, Roshni remained seated, pondering over his sudden command. Not long after, a maid entered, carrying a beautiful new dress, jewelry, and other accessories. Roshni frowned and asked, "Yeh sab kyu?"
