We arrived at the bowling alley after a little fuss with Monica. Honestly I don't know why she wanted to come, she hates any thing associated with a sport or movement.
I just wanted to be alone with Julian, is that really bad?
I wanted to push Monica out of my head right now. Julian came back with the tickets and we were all set. I was going to kick ass.
"Brook don't get ahead of yourself, you know the real champion!" He flexed his muscles and chugged on his water. Julian is competitive?
"Thank you Julian, I'm flattered. Perhaps I can be the Mvp of bowling?" I wanted to tease him, I wasn't going to let him have power over me.
We decided on who should bowl first and we came to a conclusion that we should play 'rock-paper-scissors' in order for us to decide. I won which means, Julian goes 1st.
I wanted to see his scores to see how much pins he knocked over, so I could get a idea of how to score on. Clever.
"You're lucky Brooks" he patted my back and started lifting the bowling balls. I was getting annoyed of his 'showing off' so I blasted it home. I was a bowler. A good one too, I didn't know when to release that power. Julian looked stunned. "Wait-how? you. This is your first time playin-" he sounded confused.
"nope! I actually competed for a bowling championship with my dad in Wales, when I was younger" I explained to him why I was such a beast at bowling.
"are you Welsh? because you never told me that" he was now serious and it was just my nationality so ...
"I know I haven't, but I sent out clues. Very secretive clues may I add." I lied. I didn't I just didn't want him to gain confidence my dad always told me 'with confidence you can almost get every thing or every one you've always wanted' I don't know if this was one of those situations, but I wanted too. It was fun.
Julian though about it, surely he wasn't going to find out. Unless, he had really good memory. He shook his head, "you're lying, this is the first private interaction we had. Last time we met we met. Monica was the spotlight, your past wasn't." He explained, I wanted to laugh.
We got onto bowling, I was winning I think I must be exaggerating when I said I was the 'mvp' of bowling.
The game was done and my palms were sweating, I lifted some heavy bowling balls. I had another great time with Julian. Somehow, when we're alone without my crazy best-friend,  everything just goes in place no chaos.
We were now heading to McDonald's, we were hungry and after burning a few calories. We deserved it.
"I can't believe out of all the people, your the one who beats me at bowling." he shrugged trying to hide his face. I laughed.
"believe it! I can beat you 100 more times. Unless, you step up your game." I smiled and turned up the music.
"are you insulting my bowling skills" he looked hurt, he turned the volume to 20 to 0.
    "Hey!" I exclaimed
"Say you're sorry, and I will consider your apology."
"alright, Julian. I'm truly not sorry"
"your sarcasm will get you thrown in jail one day"
"alright, but I'm eating your fries"
In the end I ended up failing, I wanted those fries. I'll get you back Draxler!
Julian pulled up into Monica and I's apartment. He smiled, and hugged me.
"Brook I- had a really great time, I wanted to win. Sadly, things never go as planned." He frowned.
"are you still up about that bowling thing, Jules. I drank a energy drink before going bowling so that's why I knocked down most of my pins. Adrenaline was bowling. Not me" I never drank a energy drink, Monica drinks them all. I wanted to make him feel better.
"Jules?" Really he only cared about that.
  "Yeah. That's your nick-name"
"I like it" he sounded so cheerful. He was a really great, out-going and loving. Who wouldn't love him. Forget that. I don't... Phh!
"Goodbye Jules!" I waved towards him.
"Goodbye Brook!"
