"This way," Rick quietly hisses at the group behind him who have begun to separate while searching for a place to hide.
With his command, they all tighten back together as their leader second-guesses the choice to bring so many people. Though Rick needed Daryl, Michonne and T-Dog for this mission, Oscar, Tyreese and Sasha are beginning to feel unnecessary.
The seven are racing to find a place to hide as they map out what next to do. Michonne was leading them to where she was held when an incoming guard forced them to break into a random building for cover, and then a man had entered to find them. It was after a brief interrogation that they concluded he knew nothing and swiftly knocked him out.
Not knowing how long it will take for him to be discovered, the group is desperately searching for a new spot to get their bearings and find out more about where Maggie and Glenn are allegedly being held.
While the group from the prison are running around like headless chickens, Michonne isn't bothering to look for sanctuary and instead is keeping to the map mentally she had drawn in preparation. The woman's plan is to use the group's numbers and strength to get her close enough to the Governor's home, point her companions in the right direction to their friends, and cut Lola's location from the man.
"Rick," Tyreese faintly calls and ushers his sister into an open door before following. The siblings survey the inside of what looks to be an old shoe store with their guns drawn, checking for any sign of life before giving the all clear and ducking to the cold ground so as not to be seen through the display window which takes up most of the wall.
Keeping low, Rick stares pointedly at the woman wielding the katana as he mindlessly checks the ammunition in his gun despite not firing any shots yet, "What now?"
"We're almost there," she coldly assures him, not liking the blatant distrust displayed in his unwavering gaze.
"How do we know you're even taking us in the right direction?" Rick questions with the clear threat of cocking his gun once the bullet count is complete.
Michonne simply glares at the man and tightens her hold on her blade while the rest of the group shifts uncomfortably but still follows Rick's lead and subtly prepares their weapons as Daryl just rolls his eyes.
The hunter inches up from the floor to peer out the glass, his back against the wall beneath it and his fingers nimbly fidgeting with his crossbow. He lets out a low whistle to alert his people to shut up as a large man with a large gun strolls past the window.
People crouch even lower at the warning, leaving everyone to practically be lying on the floor until Daryl gives a nod that it's safe to speak.
Rick sighs and looks to Oscar, "Keep watch by the door," the ex-prisoner scurries off without a second thought, getting to his feet once out of the line of sight and standing by the entrance to make sure no unwanted guests make another appearance.
"Sasha-" Rick begins before being cut off as she knows what he needs.
"I got the window," the woman is already shuffling to a better watch position as their leader sends her a grateful nod and Daryl takes her place next to T-Dog.
Despite it only being a small safety measure, it's still enough to clear their minds of the current danger they're in, so the five all lean close as their bodies make a circle to whisper out their next course of action.
"How far are we exactly from where you were held?" T-Dog asks Michonne as his foot unconsciously bounces against the floor.
"It's on the next street," she stoically offers and people's shoulders sag in relief at the close proximity.
