After some time, they returned to the hotel and started packing their belongings. Taehyung kept glancing at Jungkook, who was quietly working without saying a word.
Taehyung walked over to him and said, "Kookie, please talk to me."
Jungkook looked up at him and replied, "What do you want, Taehyung? Do you need something?"
"I'm sorry, Kookie. Please be like my Kookie. It's hard to be like this," Taehyung pleaded.
Jungkook responded, "Kookie… he didn’t want to be anyone’s burden, so he silenced himself.i think it's for the best taehyung" Then he walked away to the bathroom to freshen up.
Taehyung looked at the bathroom door, and for the first time, his heart ached for something, for someone.
After that, they didn’t speak to each other. Soon, they went downstairs and saw everyone waiting for them. "You guys are here, let’s go," Waan said, and they all headed to the car.
The car ride was silent, with everyone quiet. The journey felt empty, unlike when they first went on the trip.
The next two days, Taehyung was busy attending meetings. For the first time, he hated his job. He wanted to talk to Jungkook and clear the misunderstanding.
Jungkook was hurt and didn’t talk to Taehyung after that. He was himself when he was with others, but when Taehyung was there, he silenced himself.
Two days felt like an eternity for them. Neither wanted it to be like this, yet it was.
Today, there was a party at their house to celebrate the success of the work meeting. Boun and Taehyung returned home early while everyone was preparing for the party.
Taehyung went to the kitchen and saw Jungkook smiling as he watched Sammy and Prem bicker. (Sammy, the best friend of Prem and Fluke, had joined them after the trip. Her cheerful behavior helped Jungkook feel normal again.)

Taehyung stood at the door, lost in the sight of Jungkook’s smile. "I missed your smile, Kookie, you're so cute smiling like this. But I hate the idea that I'm not the one who can make you smile. Trust me, Kookie, we will get through this," he mumbled to himself and left the place.
By nightfall, everything was ready, and everyone was waiting for the guests—the other party from work. Soon after, they arrived.
