By the time Akari reached the Uchiha compound, night had fallen, and the moon bathed everything in an eerie silver glow. She entered silently, dreading the inevitable confrontation with her brother. And there he was—Madara Uchiha—waiting for her, his dark eyes burning with disappointment and barely concealed anger. His silhouette loomed in the dimly lit room, rigid and authoritative. He was every bit his father's son, and in moments like these, it was impossible not to see his father's cold, demanding gaze reflected in Madara's.
Madara's expression twisted with anger as he approached her.
"Do you realize the embarrassment you've caused?" he hissed, his words sharp enough to cut.
"The entire village watched you disgrace yourself to the Senju. Have you no shame?"Akari lowered her gauze, swallowing the lump in her throat. "I... I didn't mean to—"
"You didn't mean to?" Madara interrupted, his tone full of contempt. "You dishonored our clan and spat on Izuna's memory. Do you think our father wouldn't rise from his grave if he knew?"
Akari winced at his words, but she had no strength to argue. She felt like a coward. Why do I always feel so helpless around them? she thought bitterly. Madara's gaze softened for a moment, but it was fleeting. He placed a hand on her shoulder, and though his grip was firm, it was not cruel.
"I will fix this. I will find you a husband worthy of the Uchiha name, someone who will protect our legacy. You will marry an Uchiha, and that will be the end of this. Do you understand?"
Akari nodded weakly, her voice barely audible. "Yes."
"Good." Her tone was final, as if there was no room for negotiation.
"And forget about the Senju. Do you think he cares about you? He's been meeting with the Hyuuga. What are you to him? A game?" The mention of the Hyuuga hit Akari like a slap.
The rumors—were they true? Had Tobirama been seeing someone else the whole time? How could he...after everything? Her sadness turned to anger, a burning fire that reignited her Uchiha pride. He had lied to her—betrayed her, in a way.
Madara's words faded into the background as Akari's thoughts consumed her. Anger boiled inside her, clouding her judgment. Damn him, she thought. How dare he play with my heart?
Madara's rebuke no longer affected her. She clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms as her fury consumed her. The sadness that had once weighed her down was gone, replaced by anger and wounded pride. If Tobirama wanted to toy with her, she would not stand still.
Without another word, she turned sharply and left the room. Madara called out to her, but she did not stop. He no longer frightened her—nothing frightened her. Her mind was made up. She stormed out of the compound, her vision blurred with white-hot fury. And for the first time that night, the red was not from her Sharingan—it was from the sheer force of her emotions.
Akari would not be fooled. If Tobirama thought he could toy with her heart and still consider marriage to someone else, he had another thing coming. She would make him regret ever hurting her. No one, not even the Hokage, could break the spirit of an Uchiha woman.
Back in the Hokage's office, Tobirama sat alone, the weight of his responsibilities pressing down on him. His mind kept returning to Akari—her tears, her touch, her words. He buried his face in his hands, frustration simmering beneath the surface. Why did everything have to be so complicated?
He thought of the Hyuuga girl—how Madara and the Uchiha clan would use any rumor or connection against him. His position demanded sacrifice, but how much more could he give up?
Tobirama stared out the window at the moonlit village, wondering if Akari felt the same way he did. He clenched his fists, wishing he could hold her again, but knowing that love between them might be impossible.
Their fates were linked—whether by love, duty, or tragedy—and the storm between them was only just beginning. As the moonlight bathed Konoha in its cold glow, two souls burned brighter than ever, bound together by passion, pride, and impossible choices.
