The Uchiha estate was quiet, bathed in the soft glow of the evening. A warm breeze carried the faint scent of cherry blossoms from the trees that lined the path outside. But inside the grand walls of the house, a storm was brewing.
Madara burst through the doors, his presence commanding and unrelenting. His footsteps echoed in the spacious hallway as he strode toward Akari's room, fury etched into every line of his face.
"Akari!" he barked, his voice carrying through the halls like a thunderclap.
Akari, seated by the window and lost in thought, turned toward the doorway just as Madara appeared. His eyes burned with anger, and his intimidating aura filled the room.
"How dare you meet him again?" Madara demanded, his tone sharp and unyielding. "Didn't I tell you to stay away from that man?"
Akari rose to her feet, her calm composure a stark contrast to his fury. "He asked to see me, Madara. What did you want me to do? Ignore the Hokage?"
"Don't come at me with excuses. I'm not a fool," Madara snapped, taking a step closer.
Akari's gaze hardened, her own temper beginning to flare. "And I'm not a child, Madara. You don't control every aspect of my life."
Madara's eyes narrowed, his voice dropping to a dangerous level. "Have you forgotten what that man did to our family? Have you forgotten Izuna?"
The mention of their late brother sent a pang through Akari's chest, but she stood her ground. "Of course, I haven't forgotten Izuna," she said, her voice steady despite the emotion stirring within her. "But have you also forgotten what we did to the Senju? Have you forgotten Itama and Kawarama? If we tally the blood spilled between our families, the list would never end. Wasn't the purpose of Konoha to end that cycle? Or does peace only apply when it serves your terms?"
Madara's expression darkened, his silence speaking volumes. He had no answer for her logic, but his anger refused to relent.
"It doesn't matter," he said abruptly, changing the subject. "Pack your things. We're leaving tonight."
Akari blinked, startled by the sudden shift. "And where are we going?" she asked, her frustration bubbling to the surface.
"I have a mission," Madara said, his tone curt. "We'll be gone for many days, and I won't leave you here."
Her lips tightened into a thin line as realization dawned on her. "So that's how you plan to keep me away from him?" she asked, her voice laced with accusation.
Madara didn't reply. Instead, he stood there, his cold gaze fixed on her, his intimidating presence unyielding. But Akari knew him better than anyone. She was perhaps the only person who could face him without fear.
"He came to ask me to stop looking for suitors," she admitted, breaking the tense silence. "And I rejected his request, if you want to know."
Madara's eyes briefly softened, though his face remained stoic. "I'm glad to hear that," he said after a moment. "But that doesn't change anything. Pack your things. We leave tonight."
With that, he turned and left the room, not waiting for her response.
.
Akari sighed deeply, the weight of her brother's stubbornness pressing down on her. She moved to gather her belongings, her mind swirling with thoughts of the two infuriatingly similar men in her life.
Madara, her unyielding and overprotective brother. And Tobirama, the man she had fallen for despite his maddening rationality and pride.
"You two are more alike than you think," she muttered under her breath as she folded her clothes. It was almost poetic, in a cruel way, that she would fall in love with someone who mirrored her brother's frustrating traits so closely.
Perhaps this was some kind of divine punishment, she mused, to love a man as stubborn and infuriating as Madara. And yet, beneath her frustration, there was a flicker of something else. A hope that, in time, Tobirama might choose her—not out of duty or rationality, but because he truly wanted her by his side.
As the night deepened and the Uchiha siblings prepared to leave, Akari couldn't help but wonder what the future held. But one thing was certain—this wasn't the end of the battle between her heart and the stubborn men who shaped her world.
