"What the fuck happened here?"

I clenched my jaw in frustration at the remains of my office. I'm gone from this base for only a moment and I come back to disorder.

"It looks like a phone had triggered an explosion," Elias had told me, swiping at the air to clear the remainder of the smoke around us. I had men already trying to clear up this space but they were all to afraid to tell me anything useful about what happened.

Phone.

Of course there was only one person who would cause chaos in my absence.

I marched towards her room, ready to show her an anger she had yet to see from me.

"Joker!" I shouted as I slammed open her door, I'm sure causing a dent on the wall behind it.

Her gleaming eyes met mine as if she was expecting me. "Back so soon?" She asks, a fake act of obliviousness spread across her face as if she was trying to piss me off more. She knew why I was back early and only half of it had to do with the explosion that took place.

Storming up to her and holding her face in a tight grip, I stared straight into her eyes. Eyes I had to ignore the beautiful colour of. "Don't take me for a fool," I whisper, "You were taking drugs?" I started with, that being the first thing reported to me as I sat at the round table with the other leaders.

Negotiations were hard enough with the stubborn people who would be glad to see your downfall, but when you had one of your men come up to your ear to report that the Joker was seen at our game room, putting an unknown substance in her mouth while leaving another laying around for someone else, made it all that much harder.

She hums back at me, moving a hand up my arm with a sway making me wonder if it was still in her system. "I'm sorry, was that against our rules?" She asks back, her voice too sweet for her own good. Ignore it, I told myself as I used her throat as a hold as I pushed her harshly against her wall.

"And the incident in my office?" I grumble into her ear, squeezing her neck in hopes she felt threatened but she closed her eyes as if in bliss.

"Let's just say I'm quite the force to be reckoned with when I'm high," chuckling, she opens her eyes again, putting a hand over the one I had against her airways. "Why don't you join me on my trip?"

Despite finding myself attracted to the idea of taking drugs with her, getting high with her, the Queen of the world's drug creation industry with the best intoxicants only in her grasp, I pushed her away roughly and turned away, putting a hand through my hair with stress. It was a trap, I knew that well enough. God knew what type of drug she had taken, what affects it would have on me versus what it did to her and knowing that she wants to kill me, destroy me- that solidified my arguments against any of my fantasies.

After hearing her regain her breath a little, she continues talking as if my anger had no affect no her. "Okay okay fine, I apologise for your office, I'll get my team to reimburse you for whatever was in there,"  my ears perk at that, she never mentions her 'team' or the people under her, let alone exposing herself to my conclusion that she does in fact have a way to contact them.

Maybe this wasn't all a bad idea after all.

I turned my face to look at her and follow as she lays on her bed, a soft moan escaping her lips which makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand.

Taking out my pack of cigarettes, I put one into my mouth and walk towards her.  She opens are eyes to look at me again and grins at my cigarette. Taking out a lighter, she leans forward and takes hold of my shirt which makes me lean towards her, a hand propping me on the bed, our bodies much closer now which grabs my attention. I let her light me up and drew in a breath but as I was about to exhale, she take the cigarette out of my mouth, the same arm wrapping around my neck to pull me closer until her mouth was only an inch away from my mouth.

I breathe out and the smoke danced from between our mouths before swirling up and making a wall in front of our eyes. When it cleared, I made my move.

I shoved my lips onto hers which she accepted graciously with just as much force. God, she was intoxicating.

We took a breath but before I let her come in again, I use this opportunity to ask, "And how are you going to get them to deliver the money to me?" I went in for her jaw, giving her the opportunity to answer.

"The same way we do my drugs." Drugs were her empire, she was avoiding the question despite her state. There was also the thought that she possibly didn't have these drugs on her from the beginning and somehow they were given to her while I trapped her here. This all displeased me, so I bit harshly on her skin. "Not happy with that answer?"

I went back to her mouth and started to abuse it, as if punishing her. "What was on the phone you were so keen on destroying?" I asked, pulling away again. Reaching for the hand that had my cigarette in it, I took another deep breath in before pinning her arm above her head.

"Everything and nothing."

I wasn't getting anywhere.

I grabbed the cigarette out of her hand before pushing the lit side against the perfect skin on her shoulder, not caring at her hiss of pain as I got up and away from her, pulling a fresh stick from my pack.

"Don't you dare take another drug while I have you here."  I ordered as I walked out of her room, not turning to look back at her because I knew she would just use that against me.

Just as I was going to close the door, I see one of my newer recruits walking down the hallway. He would have to do.

"Hey," He turns to me, a flash of fear on his face but he comes to stand in front of me anyway. "Make sure she stays in this room, don't let anyone in or out."

"Yes sir." I nod back at him and walk back to the remains of my office.

'Everything and nothing' she had said. The 'everything' intrigued me.

Going back to the team, I was shown the remains of the phone. There wasn't much of it and it was all in pieces but this was what I had to go with so we had to make it work. I instructed that the men try to find it's chip, restore any of its data, even if its just its number.

I also headed to my security base. We had cameras everywhere and I had to be sure she wasn't still being supplied externally. "Our alarms would have been triggered if someone tried coming through any way around the mansion."

"We're not talking about a low life trying to steal something from us, she's an underground snake. Keep looking."

We stared looking at footage for a while before I was called in to see an internal camera as well.

"We don't have a camera in your office but from the hallway around the corner, it seems the explosion took place before she would have had time to go inside." I furrowed my eyebrows, watching and confirming what the security controller had said.

"Who went that way before her?" He shook his head

"A number of people walked down that hallway as part of their patrol. I wouldn't be able to pinpoint anyone,"

I curled my hands into a fist and instructed for a few more camera placements to be put up, we can't have this happening again.

Elias caught up to me at some point as I walked by my room. "I did warn you against this game of yours," I glare at him which makes him put his arms up in surrender.

"Look! You've had that cig in your mouth for how long and still haven't lit it up! That's a different level of stressed," He was right, I had completely forgotten about it with all that was going on. I motion for him to throw me a lighter and he does but as I light it up I realise something which brings a sense of dread into me,

The smoke doesn't taste as good without her lips present.
