✰ "𝐢 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮," catherine stopped scott in the hallway as he was making his way to bed.
scott and renee had snuck out for their midnight chat, giggling and laughing away before scott quickly ran inside for a bathroom trip. catherine , on the other hand, had been lying awake next to andre for a while, tossing and turning with frustration. there was no way she had lost scott that quickly. not when she was so close. catherine sighed for the umpteenth time, decided a quick trip to the toilet would help clear her head.
she was stood at the sink washing her hands, in her own world, when scott's figure scurried past in the corner of her eye, igniting a spark in her brain. she flicked the water off her hands and she walked to the hand towel nearby and dried them before very slowly walking out into the hallway in hopes that scott would come out soon. like clockwork, scott rushed out of the bathroom only to be intercepted by catherine and her demand.
"catherine now is really not a good time, renee is waiting for me-"
"it'll be quick, really quick i swear."
"catherine can't this wait until tomorrow?"
"no scott!" catherine raised her voice but dropped down to a whisper, "i just need closure, that's all, and i'd rather do it now when nobody is around to talk."
"okay," scott sighed, leaning against the wall. "whats up?"
"did you ever have any attraction towards me?"
"yes, and it's not that it's gone, it's just i feel everything so much stronger with renee."
"i just can't understand why, if you knew you wanted renee and liked her all along, why you bothered leading me on?" catherine looked up to the ceiling, shocked at how her eyes had randomly started to sting - damn, she really did like scott.
