Chapter 4

It's been over a month now at conifer...thinks have been "okay" I guess I mean I got put in a patrol group now after countless days of hard.long.training..

I was happy to be in my patrol my younger sister was in it ,Harry,Bianca and some other kids called Jay(a dark brown collie) and Elda (a pure snow white leopard with a dark grey muzzle)

One day we where told that we need to go on a border patrol with me in charge.

About half a mile in I picked up a unfamiliar scent and stopped.

"Ash what's wrong?" Elda asked her ears perking

Harry huffed at me like I was a dumb ass and that I was only trying to make things dramatic.

I don't get what's been up with Harry the past few weeks it's like he ever hates me or something but I just shrug it off every one gets into grudges now and then but I just can't help feeling slightly threatened.

"Erm...we..guys go on back to camp I'll be have before Sun down.."

"Dude you can't just stay out here and look for something,I mean what if it's a enemy camp or patrol? Or eve-" I cut Jay off "woah Jay carm down I'm not going to die. Besides.. it smells like this intruder it's own..Ok?" I barked my tail held high.

They all nodded respecting me decision even my sister nodded her grey eyes bright almost sparkling even.

Then I looked over at Harry his eyes full of doubt and deep haterid this made my fur brissle slightly and the others seemed to notice.

Why was Harry acting like this?! I thought to my self.

"So you'll be back before Sun set?" My sister barked breaking the death like silence.

"Yea...if I'm not tell the deputy do you under stand?..." I said my ears darting up for a reply

They all nodded and jogged off with out another word leaveing me alone two miles away from camp in a dark over grown forest.
