Harry watches as Zayn pace around outside. His husband was currently on the phone discussing his fourth studio album and the release date with his record label.
Zayn had been working really hard on this album for the longest. He'd put his blood, sweat, and tears in this album and he was very proud of it.
He didn't want to rush it like he had with the others.
It wasn't like Zayn wasn't proud of his previous albums. He loved all of them—especially icarus falls—but he felt like he had to rush with each of them because rca records was a shit label. They'd been trying to ruin his career since the beginning.
Now that he was signed onto a new record label, he felt like he could take his time and release the music he so desperately wanted to since the start of his career.
The new record label was understanding. They just wanted him to release a single for the time being and he was still trying to figure out which song would be best.
When Zayn finished he walks back inside and plops beside his husband with a smile. Harry runs his fingers through the man's hair.
"Everything okay?"
Zayn turns and smiles before nodding. "Think so. We decided on what i am to be released first."
"Not alienated? Kinda surprised. You've had that one in the vault for nearly a decade."
"Naw! It'll be released after, though." Zayn explained.
"Have you talk to Gigi?"
Zayn nods. "Yeah. She understands, you know? I'm releasing this for me. I know it's kinda deep and some shits gonna be put into the light but she understands." He shrugs.
Harry hums.
"It's kinda quiet, hmm? Think the kids are up to something?"
"Don't know, babe. But, we got the living room to ourselves for a little. No kid asking to watch paw patrol or some Disney film."
"What? You don't enjoy the song along version to Encanto?" Harry frowns playfully. Zayn chuckles before shaking his head. "I enjoy every minute of it. Just want to watch something none animated for a bit, yeah?"
"Sure. I think we should still check on them. You know Verona has been on this mean streak the last few weeks."
Zayn sighs. "Yeah. We should really talk to her, babe. I caught her snatching a toy from a kid at daycare the other day. The parents looked at me disapprovingly. Do you think it's us? Have we not been spending enough time with her?" Zayn asked.
"I don't think so. We have twin day every week."
"But maybe that's the problem. With the other kids they have their own day, you know? Verona and Rome always share. Maybe we should give them their own day."
Harry shrugs his shoulders. "Guess so. We'll talk to her tomorrow, hmm? See what's going on."
Zayn nods in agreement. The couple get off the couch to go and check on the kids. When they were sure nothing was broken and they were all getting along they walk back towards the couch and turn the tv on. Harry cuddling up to his husband as they watch in content.
