Two teenage lovers decided to go out to Lovers' Lane on a dark night. After they had their car parked, the boy of the couple turned the radio on. After about thirty minutes, the songs they were listening to ended, and an emergency broadcast began.

"Attention everyone! Don't go out tonight or any night after! A mental patient has escaped from the institution near the local Lovers' Lane! He is armed with a hook for a hand, and had already murdered two people!" the broadcast blared. The broadcast ended, and the music started playing again.

"Oh my God! There's a murderer on the loose, we have to go!" the girl of the couple exclaimed, scared to death.

"Honey, we'll be fine," the boy reassured, putting an arm around his trembling girlfriend. "He won't catch us!"

"But what if he does?!" the girl sobbed, tears running down her cheeks.

"He won't, I know he won't!" the boy said, wiping his girlfriend's tears away and kissing her. The girl sniffled and nodded.

Just then they heard a scratching noise on the door. The boy changed his mind and sped off as fast as could, away from the overlook, and back to his girlfriend's house.

After a while, the couple calmed down, and they laughed off the incident as a stray dog scratching at the door. They got out of the car, and the boy was horrified to see what was on the door handle.

On the handle was a bloodstained hook.
