There he was, the man who made my high school life the definition of living hell. I stood there, watching him smile and sign posters and shirts and any other merch. I didn't know what I was doing there at that meet and greet. I wanted to prove something, but I didn't know what I wanted to prove. I looked at the other boys sitting with him, there was Vic, Jaime and Tony, I smiled at the sight of them and then frowned when my eyes landed on him, Mike Fuentes.
I felt my heart start to pick up its pace when the line moved up, I kept my eyes on him, staring at the one person who ruined my life. I watched them all continue to sign merch and then I was up next, I showed the security guard my ticket and he let me pass, I walked up to the table and Vic was the first one to sign my shirt. "Hi there, what's your name?" Vic smiled sweetly at me, and I smiled back, "Rachel" I said, quietly. I saw Vic look at me again, this time he didn't have that bright smile, it was still there but it wasn't as big, he looked at me like he knew something but he passed my shirt to Tony, who smiled and signed my shirt. "Have a good day, Rachel!" Tony smiled shyly as he read my name that Vic wrote and passed the shirt to Mike. I kept a tight smile on as he looked at me through his sunglasses, smiling. He didn't recognize me, I saw my reflection in his shades and I smiled brightly as he smiled back and passed my shirt to Jaime "Nice hair!" Mike said, as Jaime wrote his name on the shirt.
"Thank you, Mike!" I nodded as I touched my red hair. "It was nice meeting you, I hope you have a lovely day!" I smiled as Jaime handed me my shirt and I hurried off and towards the exit. I looked back faintly and saw Jaime looking back at me, I waved and continued walking to my car, my baby blue Volkswagen bug. I unlocked the door and got in, tossing the shirt to the side and starting the engine then pulling out of the parking spot and driving off. I thought about what just happened, it didn't go as I thought it would, I wasn't surprised that he didn't recognize me, but it felt like Vic did. I drove home in silence, thinking about everything that happened.
I arrived home about twenty minutes later and I walked into my small apartment, and was greeted by Mittens, my short haired Ragdoll cat. "Hi baby" I smiled, picking up the cat and kissing her nose. "You're the only one in my life that hasn't disappointed me" I said, softly as the tears started to fall quietly. I walked over to my couch and sat down, pulling my laptop over to me and logging onto Twitter. "Met all of @piercetheveil! It was amazing to meet you all(:" I posted my tweet, and logged off and sat there.
*Vic's point of view*
"I can't believe that one girl cried!" Mike said as we all walked to our hotel rooms, we ended up in mine and Mike's cause it was bigger, "Yeah, but it just shows how much the fans adore us" Jaime pointed out and I agreed. We all sat around the tv and watched mindless shows until Jaime and Tony started playing some video game like children, it only made me laugh. I pulled out my phone and looked at all the tweets that fans had send me and the official account for the band, I smiled at all of the tweets, and then I saw one that for some reason caught my attention. It was from a girl named Rachel...
Then, I remembered early today, that fan with the red hair named Rachel, something about her caught my attention, it wasn't the fact that she was beautiful. It was the fact that she looked familiar, but I couldn't figure out from where. I clicked on her profile and saw that her display photo was of her and a cat. I smiled softly and decided to follow her, along with tons of more fans. I put my phone down and sighed. "So, any fans caught your eyes?" I asked, and everyone shrugged. "What about that one girl? She was tall, and red hair?" Tony questioned, looking at Jaime and I looked at him, surprised.
"She just seemed off, I'm not sure. She wasn't like all the other fans, she was more quiet and I don't know" Jaime said, shrugging but I knew he wasn't saying everything. For the rest of the night, we just hung around. Jaime was tweeting about what an amazing day it was and posting goofy photos of all of us. I pulled out my phone again and went to that Rachel girl's account again. I scrolled through her photos, I just couldn't shake the feeling that I've seen her before. I frowned slightly at the photos, a lot of them were related to EDs. There were some of her 'before and after' photos, it was clear to me that this girl had an eating disorder and that broke my heart.
I decided to direct message her, I kept frowning as I typed. "Hey, I met you at the greet and meet in San Diego. I just want you to know that you're beautiful and you don't need to change anything about yourself. Please don't hurt yourself and remember I'm here for you, Rachel. Take care!" I pressed send and then exited out of her account and continued scrolling through my Twitter timeline. I looked up and saw Jaime looking at me and he got up and motioned me to follow him, I got up and followed him to the kitchen. "You also have that feeling that you've seen that girl before, right?" He asked, quietly and I nodded.
"I don't know Jaime, she just had something about her that makes it seem like I've met her before" Jaime nodded. I could tell he was thinking about something, but I didn't ask. "We're gonna find out who this Rachel girl is." Jaime said, and I nodded. The thought of stalking a fan made me laugh.
