Chapter 2: Meeting Chandler

As everyone left i was stuck on cleanup duty once again with my friend S.J. Her black fiery hair was pulled up in a bun."Congrats on winning the talent show,"she said.Every year S.Jand I plain this big vacation together, we go to the beach for about a week with our family.This year we are going to stay in the really fancy hotel that all the rich people stay in!"Hey kayla, are you packed already for our trip?!""dude its like 2 months away! why would i be packed!" i said with disbelief.

As we cleaned up, i felt a cold finger touch my right shoulder. as i turned around, I heard S.J yell,"OMG ITS CHANDLER RIGGS!!!!!" I was speechless.I just stared at him for what felt like forever.All that i could manage to say was,"what are you doing here?" He laughed."i'm not joking, what are you doing here?" I said again. Since we live right outside of Atlanta, everyone at my school knows who Chandler Riggs is and loves him. Everyone but me.I don't see what the big deal is with him. people constantly talk about him,and worship him like he is a God. where i'm just listening to my music in the corner.

"Im here because i have a record dealer staying at my house for a few days and he asked me to go to some schools in search of a "fresh face" as he likes to call it. i heard that this school was having a talent show today so i thought i would stop in and watch."he said with his charming smile."Ok so... why are you talking to me?"Well.... lets just say when you first started singing, i got chills." said Chandler.

I tried not to blush. i didn't know what to say... i have never had someone say something like that to me before. "umm... th..thanks". i murdered."thanks? kayla! thats all you can say is thanks!!!?" shouted S.J."well i'll leave you two alone i guess, and kayla, don't make a fool of yourself." "Wow thanks," I though. After S.J left, Chandler and I just kinda stared at each other not saying a word. "So... Would you Maybe be interested in recording a c.d or so thing? I have a record dealer staying at my house for a few days and he would love the heat you sometime." He finally says. "Umm.. I guess."
