"Ken, you better know how to behave yourself there in Hawaii, okay? Your mom and I are going to miss you, but you're already 18. You know how to make your own decisions and we are going to respect that." My dad said adjusting his rear-view mirror. We were stuck in some traffic right outside the airport.

"Thank you for trusting me with this one summer vacation Mom and Dad. You know I won't be stupid. All my friends are going to be there. I wouldn't want to be THAT kid." I replied back, laying in the passenger seat.

"Anak, you're always THAT kid. No matter what you do. But try to bring home a pretty girl please." My mom said hitting the back of my chair.

She was joking.

"Mom, no, no, and no." I laughed.

'No one would like me that way. I'm way too ugly to be considered good looking to any of the girls on this trip or anyone in general.' I thought to myself.

It's sad how I've already accepted that. But it's been a feeling for awhile now.

"C'mon you're a good looking kid." My mom said again, I couldn't tell if she was being legit or sarcastic.

'Lol, yeah right. Girls would go blind at how bad I look.
They'd rather jump into a garbage chute than deal with me.' I thought once more.

"You got your looks from your mom and I. The best looking couple around." My dad said reaching back, grabbing my mom's hand, and kissing it.

'I'm never gonna have that.' I sighed to myself.

Growing up, any of the little crushes I had, never liked me back then. Rejection had become normal for me since the age of 7. I've already accepted my future.

I just had to go at it alone just like the only child I was.

"Okay, okay, okay." I gave in to shut them up and get the sad thought away.

'I'm going to be lonely forever man.' I put my head down for a second.

We pulled up to the airport.

A few familiar faces were there pulling out their stuff onto the cart things.

I must have been on time for once.

"Look your friends are all here!" My dad exclaimed.

Did this nigga just sound excited to get rid of me like that?

'I don't mind but that's a first.' I gave a half smile.

"Pop the trunk open and I'll be out of here soon." I said, rolling my eyes. I felt a little grumpy about the whole "bring back a girl" topic.

I stepped out of Lilo (my SI Civic) and began to grab my crap out of the back.

I just wanted to get out of my parents mess they had made in the car and leave already.

I wasn't too focused on anything-

That was until I heard a luggage drop in front of my car.

My dad and I ran to the front of the car. We had thought something hit my car.

I was about to be mad as hell.

My car was my baby. If anything hit it, I wouldn't be in any mood at all. I would've actually let anger out now if something happened.

As I was about to call out the person in front of me, I found a girl picking her stuff up and it wasn't even close to my car.

She had curly black hair, but the sun reflected on her hair and made it shine brown.
