Kiera's POV
I was still in shock of everything that has happened in the last few hours. I realized Simon is a jackass, falling for boys could literally mean falling on them, and that maybe this summer could be better than the past ones. Nikki was passed out in the seat beside me, so squealing in my pillow could happen without judgement.
Ken and him were seated right behind Nikki and I. And I was so tempted to press my ear up against the divider to listen for my name. I would've looked over the seats, but Ken would've called me out on the spot. But then again, Jan..?, said we could meet up on the plane.
I was tempted to ask Ken to switch, but it couldn't be in front of him.
I dived my hand into my bag to see if I could extract it from the mess of money, gum, girl stuff, and makeup all scattered inside. As soon as I felt the edge of it, I yanked it out, making a mess across my lap. Fully charged, I proceed to text Ken in hopes of him being nice enough to switch
Me: KUYA KEN.
I heard a buzz over the divider and the clicks of his phone with every letter. It made me laugh knowing he answered it that quickly.
Ken: Yes Kiera?
Me: Hi. What are you doing?
Ken: Talking to your boiii JR
Me: JR? Uh.
Ken: Jan Rizzy... Your Jae-Bae ;)
Dang why didn't I think of that? I sat there laughing quietly at the text.
Me: LOL okay. It's not like everyone didn't see the scene you and Liez created at the airport.
Ken: KIERA.
Me: KEN.
Ken: Okay so what if I talked to Liez. She would never like me. I'm going to grow old and be alone.
Me: Ken, don't sell yourself short like that. I mean for crying out loud you got the girl to sing.
Ken: LOL so? What difference does that make if I got like you or another girl to sing? It's just singing.
Me: I swear you live under a rock.
Ken: HOWWWWWW.
Me: Don't you know what Simon did to her?
Ken: Woah what?
Me: He embarrassed her badly at one of her downtown shows. She's deleted everything since. Like there is no soundcloud recordings, youtube videos, ANYTHINGGGG.
Ken: No way. The fuck.
Me: I mean it doesn't sound bad.
Ken: That sounds fucking awful if he did that to her.
Me: Okay, okay, maybe it is bad. But like the worst part is that she hasn't actually made contact with any of us for months.
Ken: Did anyone try to check on her?
Me : April told us Austin tried to, but that ended badly too.
Ken: What did he do to her?
Me: I don't know but dude, you got her to sing.
Ken: Oh gosh. I'm spazzing a bit.
Me: You're such a girl maybe you are right, Liez would never like you.
Ken: Bullying is not right Kiera.
Me: THEN ACCEPT YOU GOT A CHANCE WITH HER DANG.
Ken: Ugh. Okay. Wait what happened with you and JR?
