Arthur's POV
I scowled at the blonde witch as she sucked more of the blue stuff out of Merlin, who lay shaking and pale.
"I've come to finish the job." She said like she was picking up veggies for the family stew.
I grabbed Excalibur, which lay beneath my pillow, as always. I tried to kill Morgause but she used one hand to put a force field around herself and the other to hurt Merlin.
That's all I thought about. She's hurting Merlin, she's hurting Merlin, she's hurting Merlin...
Those 3 words pounded in my head until I felt as if a whole crowd was screaming it.
I took Excalibur and struck the force field, and it shattered, my sword striking Morgause with all the anger I felt against her and her sister and all they had done.
I stabbed her through the chest in her surprise, and she fell to the ground, dead.
Gaius and I ran to Merlin, but the blue stuff still floated above him.
Gaius looked at me with a bit of concern
"I'll have to use a spell to heal him sire."
Although I was taken by surprise, I nodded, "anything to restore him to health."
Gaius tools deep breath and started go chant.
"Fixfae ofziel maek!"
"Fixfae ofziel maek!"
The blue stuff began to slowly return to Merlin's body, and the color began to return to his face.
When only a small amount of blue stuff remained, Gaius whispered something to Merlin and my servant nodded.
"Fixfae maek gigigantia!"
The rest of the blue thing returned to Merlin as he said the words. But I felt my stomach, (and jaw) drop. Merlin couldn't have magic, he was too dumb.
"I'm sorry Arthur..." He began.
I knew I shouldn't be surprised. There were too many secrets between us and now another had been revealed.
It was then that I realized that there was no evil in magic, only in the hearts of men.
"It's perfectly fine." I gave him a hug and smiled, and that brought a rather surprised expression etched into Merlin's face.

~ A few days later~
-- ~ -- ~ -- ~ -- ~ --We realized over the course of the next week that Merlin had no feeling in his legs, and that meant he could not walk.
I helped him nearly everyday by letting him lean on me, and I did everything I could but Merlin couldn't regain the ability to walk.
As I walked in one day, he flipped a table.
"Merlin?"
"Yeah?"
"You okay?"
"No."
The fact that he answered me flat out 'no' put up the warning flag in my head. He was going to do something horrible if we didn't find a way to help him walk, and soon.
"Can we try again, Arthur?"
I turned to face him, "of course!"
I walked and let him grip my arm, he stood, but I couldn't erase the worried look on my face.
"I'm going to let go." He said.
"Merlin.." I warned
He made no response to my comment, only loosened his grip on my arm until there wasn't a grip at all.
He stumbled a few steps, but actually made it to the opposite wall... He made it to the opposite wall!
He grinned at me, clutching the wall on the other side.
"Arthur?"
"Yeah?"
"I did it!"
"I guess you did!"
I stood there, flabbergasted, until I realized I should help Merlin back to his bed.
I brought him to the bed.
"You did it."
