Borahae, Cher
Y/N yanked Steph in for a tight hug, forcing the air out of her lungs.
"Jesus woman, are you trying to crack my ribs?"
"Sorry, mama. I'm just so happy for you!"
Y/N released her and sat back a bit.
"Okay! Come on! I'm dying here! What happened between you and Yoongi? Spill the fucking tea!!"
"Uh uh, I'm not uttering a single syllable until I hear about your night with Hoseok. But first things first, I need coffee, and lots of it, if I'm expected to be a functional human being today."
Steph stood up and began walking towards the kitchen. Y/N collapsed back onto the couch with an exasperated huff, whining and kicking her feet like a petulant toddler. After her little tantrum, she sighed loudly, got up and followed her best friend into the kitchen.
Y/N went to the cupboard and pulled out two mugs and placed them on the counter, then went to the fridge to pull out their favorite fall flavored creamers, S'mores for her and pumpkin spice for Steph.
Once Steph started the coffee brewing, she collapsed in a heap into the chair. She crossed her arms in front of her on the kitchen table like a makeshift pillow, and laid her head down on them.
"Ugh, I'm so fucking exhausted."
Y/N frowned and walked over to her. She gently stroked her hair and Steph sighed contentedly.
"Mmm, feels nice, chicca."
Y/N said nothing for a few moments and continued to massage her best friend's scalp, gently scraping her nails against it. Steph felt so relaxed that if she were a cat, she would absolutely be purring.
"Sounds like you had quite the night, mama."
Steph picked her head up and groaned. Y/N walked around to the other side of the table and sat down, waiting for her to elaborate further.
"It was definitely one to remember, that's for sure. So, after helping out with the birth of Dumpling, I was planning to take an Uber home but Mrs. Min insisted I stay. We all were still pretty wired so, once we cleaned ourselves up, we sat down for tea and snacks in the kitchen. Yoongi's parents are so nice. Then, this morning, at breakfast, I met his brother and his family. Their little girl, Soo Yi, is actually in your class! She's so adorable!"
"Yes! I found that out yesterday, at the farm, while talking with Yoongi! She is such a little sweetheart! So, meeting his family all at once? Wow, that must have been a little overwhelming."
"I mean, I guess it should have been but they're all such wonderful people. Honestly, I felt more at home there than I ever did in my own house."
A feeling of sadness settled in Y/N's heart. Steph's upbringing was anything but love filled. She'd practically lived with Y/N's family, especially throughout her high school years. Her parents seemed almost happy to be rid of their daughter and it still angered Y/N to this day. Steph avoids them now, for the most part, seeing them only when absolutely necessary.
Steph got a bit of a dreamy, far away look in her eyes as she continued.
"After Yoongi's parents went to bed, he and I had some wine and talked for a while. We didn't get to bed until after three in the morning, so I didn't get much sleep. Wish I could say it was for other reasons but I made you a promise that I would behave."
