Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs is the order in which the marauders first achieved their transformations
Everyone is suprised when Peter was first. That of course made transforming a competition between James and Sirius. Sirius finally transformed at 3 in the morning working quietly and trying not to wake James up. So of course the first thing he does as Padfoot is to jump on James and lick his face in victory. James is startled so violently that he popped into a stag, and their dormitory had never been so chaotic.
