I went to many places far and near.
I saw others' lands and their prosperity.
I saw their houses and gold shimmering.
I thought they have their wants and everything.
Some families have plenty to eat
I smelt their fatted calf and deer's meat.
The father and his entire family have nice robes,
I thought they have love 'cause they are nicely clothed.
Some women are beautiful with lovely posture.
They have expensive gems on their golden hair,
because of their remarkable beauty,
I thought they have no problems to bear.
Some professional and grown-ups are intellectuals.
They memorized some books and encyclopedias.
They attained higher education and finished their course.
They gain worldy pleasures and whole lot more.
To shorten this story and summarize this matter,
I confess the truth that I got envious.
I wish I could have everything so that
I will live desiring for nothing.
I asked the Lord why I have no lands and gold
And didn't have luxurious clothes?
Why I was born that possessed nothing?
And when I die, nothing I could carry?
I also asked why I have no superb beauty?
And never had a pretty penny.
So that I could buy even a venison
And could live happily in a mansion.
But as I opened my Bible and read some verse,
I read the phrase what Asaph said.
He said he was envious at the fool
For what they have is plenteous.
But he said, 'It's good to draw nigh to God
and put to the Lord all his trust.
That he migtht declare all his works
and never live with vanity.
What the Bible said in first Timothy,
We ought not to live in too much luxury
And do not have the love of money
But learn to live with humility.
I knew then when I desired for a mansion,
God already prepared me a heavenly home.
I pity myself 'cause I desired things those are worldy.
I didn't ask for things that will last for eternity.
Though I live in the life without all things I desire
I'll be contented because I have food and raiment.
I was wrong when I thought that they have all
Because what they have is just a portion.
Therefore, I conclude that the significance of money
Is to share it with people who live in penury.
Help those who need you financially,
Be the helper to save the lives of many.
Now I realized that I really am a blessed
Because I have all things that I needed.
I may not have everything but I can gain something.
As long as I have God all I have now is much!
