Season 2| Chapter 31

"Here's how it's going to go." Aguni starts as we watch the King of Spades shoot down many of the other people trying to take him down.

"We'll lure him to an alley so he can't get more ammo from the blimp. Then we'll lure him to the drugstore from there." He continues as we listen intently.

"I'm gonna go first. While I'm doing that, you'll go to the alley and draw him in." He states, turning his face to look at Usagi and at the rest of us.

"Okay." Usagi says, and I look at Ann next to me, nodding at her.

"Arisu. Make sure that the store is filled with gas." Aguni tells Arisu, making the latter nod.

"Yeah."

And then, Aguni begins to run.

Kuina follows him first, after her Heiya and then me and Ann.

I knew that Usagi would go last since she would want to give Arisu a proper farewell.

After all, we didn't know if we would be able to come out of this situation alive.

I just wish I could've given Shuntaro a real goodbye...

Shaking my head, I push those thoughts away.

Well then I'll have to live long enough to see him again.

Aguni runs past cars, stopping a few times to shoot the King of Spades, wanting to catch his attention.

Of course, the King of Spades reacts to this as he turns toward our direction.

As Aguni shoots him, I follow Ann as she runs past Aguni in a crouched position to get to our positions.

Meanwhile, I know Arisu must be starting to make his move towards the drugstore.

Kuina, Ann and Heiya run into the Alley, followed by me and Usagi.

We take our positions, and I am closest to Ann.

The two of us have to wait behind a car before being able to get to our positions, since the King of Spades has to pass by the walls we have to hide behind.

Aguni and Kuina catch his attention, and he walks past the car and into the small alley, shooting at Kuina as she disappears behind a corner.

As quickly and as quietly as I can, I run out from behind the car and hide behind the walls of a building.

Ann is close by, only the street of the alley separating us from one another.

I look around the corner and watch the King of Spades continue to shoot at the corner Kuina hid behind.

As he walks closer to her, I look at Ann and nod, gripping the gun in my hands harder.

She nods back at me and we step around the corner, shooting the King of Spades from behind.

The force of the gun shooting a bullet makes my arms throb slightly.

Even though I shoot his lower back and Ann shoots his shoulder blade, he doesn't seem to be fazed.

Of course, he's wearing a bulletproof vest.

The King turns around and stares at us.

His face makes a shiver of fear run down my spine, and it's exactly what I expected from this man.

But he seems to be blind on his left eye.

Maybe that could be used to our advantage...

He seems surprised by our attack and raises his gun to shoot, but Kuina runs around the corner, bashing him with what seems to be a wooden sign.
