Yeah, I know you probably don't want to read this and just get on with the story. I just wanted to say I am sorry for not updating in a while. I lost my password and feel horrible for not writing on. When I got on and saw the views and favorites, I almost screamed with happiness. I hope you are all enjoying. So let's get back to Alex and her adventures.***
I go to bed that night confused. I knew when I first woke up that I couldn't be so trusting of others, but yet, their words hit me like a brick. Their words echo in my head as I drift slowly to sleep.
***
Before I realize that I drifted off to sleep, I see a new scene. People stand all around me. But, as I adjust to what I'm looking upon, I notice that it isn't just some normal crowd. I look around as I hear screams and yells from all around me. People slamming into one another, weapons in hand. Knives, guns, those weapons I see take down many of the people in front of me.
My heart rate quickens, and I start to hear it in my ears. I then look at myself. I was surprised by the seen around me, but I was astonished when I saw myself. I wear a belt with handguns and knives in the holsters, blood splattered on my skin.
What is going on here? Where am I?
"Alex!" I try to turn around, but someone slams into my back. I fall to the ground, dirt and rocks rubbing against my cheek. Small streams of pain go through my body by my cheek and back.
I push myself up to see a man fighting next to me. The two people are in a deep, intense fight. Yet, it seems like the man in front of me is protecting me for some reason. He wont move, won"t allow the other man to get to me. They are wearing two different uniforms. Yet, the man that's protecting me is wearing a uniform I've never seen before. Now that I realize it, we're both wearing the same uniform. Does that mean, he is a person I can trust?
While I'm in my state of shock, the man with the same uniform as me, pulls out a gun and I can barely hear the loud bang of the bullet leaving the gun over the sound of the battle around me. The other man falls to the ground, and I don't see him move.
I look up at the other man. His eyes are on the corpse on the ground, but then they flick to me. He walks up, and gives me his hand.
I grab it, and I don't even remember why. I didn't even think of grabbing his hand. It's as if my body isn't controlling itself.
He pulls me up and looks at me with an intense glare.
"Get yourself together. James is dead and we can't do anything about. Now, before I have to see you die too, get out of this daze!" James? Who is this guy? What is happening here?
Something clicks inside me and my eyebrows scrunch up.
"I'm sorry, Blake." I say without even realizing it. How do I know this guy's name?
He smirks and then goes off. I get a burning fury in my body, and it moves on it's own. I grab one of the knives from my belt and I just see a blur of movement, blood and faces that I'll never remember.
When I finally stop, my blade is covered in blood and I can barely recall what I did.
"Alex?" I turn around quickly, and all I can see is the barrel of a gun. I look past the gun, to see a recognizable face. My eyes widen when I see...
Cooper?
We that's when I hear a bang.
***
I wake up gasping. I throw the blankets off of me and turn on the lamp that sits on my nightstand. I look around, but I notice I'm just back in my room, safe and sound. Yet, my head pounds.
I get up and walk into the bathroom. The tile floor is cold against my bare feet and the light blinds me when I turn it on. I look in the mirror. I look like myself. Like the girl I was when I went to sleep. Then, I see a white line on the left side of my head, going into my hair. It's barely noticeable. I get closer to the mirror, and move my hair. I gasp when I see what looks to be a giant scar. I back away from the mirror, and look at my reflection.
That dream. In that dream I was shot by Cooper, which looked like it had been done in that spot. Was that a dream? Or was a piece of memory trying to come back to me?
