A wake to the sounds of pounding. I groan as I roll out of a comfortable bed and place my feet on cold tiles. Yesterday, Cooper gave me this room and gave me new clothes and told me he'd escort me to breakfast this morning.

I walk to the door and open it, revealing a happy Cooper.

        "You're not ready?"

"I was sleeping." I say, glaring at his forehead.

"Didn't you have enough of that?" He says. I feel my glare harden. I already hate the fact that I was in a coma and have lost my memory, but just like you shouldn't press down on broken glass, you shouldn't push at a persons wound, physical or mental wounds.

"Whatever, I'll be out in five minutes." I say, slamming the door. I mumble curses to myself and grab some clothes from the dresser next to my door. I change into a dark grey shirt, ripped skinny jeans and some army boots. I walk in the bathroom that is hooked to my room and brush my frizzy hair.

After I am done getting ready, I walk into the hallway where I find Cooper leaning against the wall.

        "Are you ready now?"

        "Yes." I say scowling.

                                                                                    ***

Cooper guides me through the maze of hallways. I don't know if I'll ever get these paths memorized. But, I guess if I did once before, I can do it again.

"So, I now this would be awfully soon, but I feel like we should start your training today." Cooper says as we turn a corner.

"Already?" I ask. Why is he trying to rush through to my training?

"Yes. I feel that we should get you stronger as soon as possible. It's best since we don't know when our next fight is. Don't you think it would be best that you know how to protect yourself?" I think this over, looking at the ground. He has a point, but I feel nervous. What if I can't be as good as I once was? What if I'mjust a burden to everyone?

"I guess you're right." I say in thought.

"That is, if you feel you are ready for that?" He says.

"No, I think it'd be best if I start training now. Might as well while it's peaceful here." I say.

"I'm glad you agree with me." He says. I look up and I see him smiling. I smile back, but that smile doesn't last.

"We're here." He says. I then notice I hear the sounds of many people and a mouthwatering smell of food. I have just noticed how hungry I am as my stomach growls.

We walk in and Cooper shows me how the line works and I end up getting eggs and bacon. As I get out of line, I look around the room. People sit at tables together, laughing and talking with each other. A hollow feeling fills me and I sit at an empty table. Sitting alone like this makes me feel like a loner and it's embarrassing.

Suddenly, someone places a tray of food next to me. I look up and I see a girl around my age. She smiles at me as a block of her blond hair strays onto her forehead.

"Okay, you may not remember me, but I remember you." She says as she sits down next to me. "My name is Daniella, but everyone calls me Danny." She says smiling.
