Leonardo’s POV

I don’t have Angelina's number so I do the next best thing I can think of. I turn my car around and go back to the club.

When I get there, I search everywhere in the damn club, I look downstairs, at the bar, the bathrooms, and the VIP section.

She isn’t here.

Just as I'm about to leave, I hear a blood-curdling scream coming from the side of the building that leads into an alleyway.

I pull out my gun and walk to where the sound came from.

When I reach the intersection between the buildings, I see I figure on her knees crying holding something to her face.

She's wearing a gorgeous black dress and that's all it takes for me to see that it's Lina.

She stands up and does a 360 with hot tears streaming down her face. I notice her figure looked beaten and bruised and her back is bleeding.

I keep myself well hidden behind the wall where the area is dimly lit, and that’s when I notice her standing over a puddle of blood where a beige clutch purse lay ruined next to it.

“RORY! RORY WHERE ARE YOU!”
She drops to the ground again, crying hysterically and that’s when I step toward her

“Lina,” I say softly as I approach her. Her shoulders visibly tense but she doesn’t stop crying “Lina,” I say a bit louder.

“What Leo!” Fuck, when she faces me, I swear my heart drops.

She has a cut on her cheek and blood dripping down from her hairline. Her face is red and puffy and her eyes are bloodshot while the tears mix with her makeup, black streaks of mascara running down her soft cheeks.

“What are you still doing here? It’s not safe to be here this late and what the fuck happened to you?” I bombard her with all my questions.

“Why do you care? Didn't you leave me here an hour ago, I bet you went to fuck another woman,” she snarls while tears still run down her cheeks.

“I don’t care, but your brother is freaking out because you aren't answering your phone. "

“Just leave Leo, I’ll call him later” She looks back at the bag and reaches for it slowly.

“Angelina, it's past midnight I'm not leaving you here- don’t pick that up. ” I rush to her to take the bloody bag out of her hands, throwing it far enough so it's out of reach.

“Exactly Leo, it's past midnight,” she says defeated. She leans against the wall next to the crimson puddle.

“What is that supposed to mean?” I look down at her.

“My friend, Aurora, I came here with her. She had a mission as well. We were supposed to meet back at the bar forty minutes ago. I came out here and saw this,” she motions to the scene in front of us.

“That bag you were holding, it’s hers and I don’t know whether the blood on the ground next to me is hers or her father's,” She starts crying again.

I kneel in front of her “We will find her, don’t worry, but for now, you need to get up so we can leave, you're bleeding and that cut on your head needs to be checked out. ” She pushes me away and gets and stumbles, I still her, holding her by her hips.

I place my blazer over her shoulders but she pushes me away again, and this time with more force

“I can handle myself, don’t worry about me, I wouldn’t want to be a burden to such a busy man. You can go now,”
