•Her POV•
You may think of California as hot, sunny, and beautiful but it has it's rainy moments, but when it does...it pours and that's pretty much what it's been doing for about the past three days. Emily went to see her relatives in Pennsylvania so she won't be back for a few more days. "DAD I'M GOING FOR A WALK!!!" she screamed. "OKAY TAKE AN UMBRELLA. JUST BECAUSE THE RAIN STOPPED DOESN'T MEAN IT'S DONE!!" her dad Michael screamed back. Bella grabbed an umbrella and left the house. She was walking down the boardwalk that leads to the beach when it started pouring rain...."Damn my dad was right" she thought to herself. She kept walking when she saw someone digging in the now wet sand. Bella got a little closer and realized that it was Brayden. "What are you doing?!" she said. "Oh hey Bella. The other day when me, my mom, brothers, and baby sister were here, believe it or not my brothers, who are younger than me, buried my sisters shoes when it started to get a little darker. My mom took them home and forgot them." Brayden said. "How do you know where they would be buried? This beach is huge." Bella said. "Bella, I've been coming here since the womb...I know my moms favorite spot on this beach." "Do you want any help?" she said "Nope because just found them." he said pulling out adorable little (because pretty much all baby shoes are adorable), now ruined shoes from the wet sand and then putting them in his bag. "Get under my umbrella you're soaked!" Bella said. "Do you want to go get some frozen yogurt?" Brayden said. "Isn't it cold enough for you out here??" she said giggling "No I'm good" he said starting to laugh because she was. To be completely honest with you, I'm basically walking with a stranger. We met like a week ago and now (by convincing me) we are going to get frozen yogurt. I texted my dad and told him where I was going and he said okay. "Okay so, I just met you like a week ago...can you please tell me more about yourself so when my dad asks who I was with I can at least give a little detail?" Bella said with a smile. "Well, what do you want to know?" Brayden said putting Oreos on his vanilla yogurt. "I don't know...just...anything." "Well my name is Brayden Roberts and I'm paying for your yogurt." he said smiling at her "Oh, it's okay you don't have to. I have money." she said Brayden handing the cashier money for both yogurts. "Thank you." she said with him still looking and smiling at her. "I'm the oldest out of my siblings and we live with my mom." "I live with my dad." Bella said. They kept talking and learning more and more about each other. Eventually, they finished their yogurt and left. "Do you want my umbrella" she said assuming he had a farther walk than her "No I think I'll be good...can I have your number?" he said looking a little nervous "Yeah." she said him handing his phone to her. She put her number in, when Brayden said "I'll see you around." with a smile and ran off. Bella then started walking home in the rain.
