CHAPTER THIRTY THREE

I had no idea what the appropriate response would be to meeting two more of my mates but I'm absolutely certain that running out of the room was not it.

Henrik followed me into my bedroom and shut the door behind us. I looked up at him with wide, panicked eyes as realisation struck me. In a moment of impulsivity, I had just run away from my mates. I winced and covered my face with my hands as I perched on the end of my bed. Henrik settled down next to me and wrapped an arm around my shoulder.

"Everything alright, Mor?" Henrik murmured, gently pulling my hands from my face. I looked up at him, my cheeks flushing red with embarrassment at the whole situation.

"Henrik, we were literally just about to have sex for the first time on the sofa!" I whisper-hissed at him, "And then all my other mates walked in and to top off the moment, I panicked and ran away!"

"You certainly make a memorable first impression." Henrik mused, suppressing a smile at my predicament.

I gently slapped his chest in warning, "It's not funny! Finn and Kol probably think that I'm a lunatic."

"In retrospect, you probably shouldn't have run away," Henrik agreed and I shot him a look, "But they don't think you're a lunatic."

I shook my head and winced, "I should probably go out there and properly meet them."

"They've waited a millennium to meet you, I'm sure they can wait a few more minutes." Henrik shrugged, his thumb gently stroking my knee. I shivered at the touch and leaned into him.

"I should probably brush my hair," I smiled and he chuckled lightly.

"I just wish I'd had a chance to mess it up even more before my siblings arrived." he murmured into my ear, his hand smoothing down my messy hair.

"If you behave, maybe you'll have a chance to later." I grinned as I hopped off the bed and hurried over to my dresser. I picked up the hairbrush and made quick work of fixing my hair.

Nerves filled my stomach. I had already met four of my mates but that didn't make meeting the remaining two any less daunting. I knew that I was definitely overthinking the situation but I couldn't help it. Did I greet my other mates first or did I go directly to Finn and Kol. I let out a noise of frustration as I began to pace the room with Henrik watching me from the bed.

I was only just realising how stressful being the mate to six people would be. I had to somehow divide my attention between six people without showing favouritism, which was near impossible given that I knew some of them better than others. I had a sneaking suspicion that this would all end in tragedy.

Henrik stood and wrapped his arms around because, putting a stop to my pacing. "Everything is going to be alright."

"I'm glad that one of us thinks so." I muttered under my breath, "Let's get this over with."

The second I stepped foot outside of my bedroom, I was engulfed in a tight embrace. I let out a small huff of surprise before wrapping my arms around Rebekah. My anxiety immediately disappeared and I relaxed into the embrace.

Rebekah pulled away with an eager smile and caressed my face with her hands, "I have missed you so much! My brothers make awful company."

"Hey!" One of them protested and Rebekah ignored them.

"You are even more beautiful than the last time I saw you, Morgana." she said and I flushed at the compliment.

"Hi, Rebekah." I smiled shyly and she raised an amused eyebrow.

"I haven't seen you in forever and that's all you have to say?" she teased with a grin before bringing me into a hug once more.

"Let the poor girl go, Rebekah, we want our turns!" Kol pouted and Rebekah glared at him but did as he asked.

The space she vacated was instantly filled by Kol, who grabbed both my hands in greeting. "It is so wonderful to finally meet you, my darling. I heard all about your valiant attempt to rescue me from my wicked brother."

"Unfortunately I failed to free you, otherwise we would have met ages ago." I replied, side eyeing Klaus.

I had made the decision to give Klaus a second chance but I was yet to forget that day and the words he spoke to me. Klaus would have to do some serious grovelling to fully earn my forgiveness. What happened had broken whatever trust I had in him and I knew that he would have to go to painstaking lengths to get it back. Based on the guilt ridden look Klaus gave me, he understood that.

Henrik stepped out of my room and his eyes lit up when Kol acknowledged him. The brothers grinned at one another before embracing in a welcoming hug.

"Little Henrik Mikaelson, all grown up!" Kol smirked as he pulled back, "It is good to see you again, brother."

"Likewise." Henrik replied before nodding a hello at his eldest brother, "Finn."

"Henrik." Finn bowed his head in acknowledgement. Our eyes briefly met and he immediately looked away, his cheeks turning a pale shade of scarlet.

Elijah was next to greet me and I smiled as he wrapped me in his arms. "Hello, Morgana. You are looking very well."

Pulling back from the hug, I stood on the tips of my toes and pressed a chaste kiss to the corner of his mouth. Elijah wore a pleased smile when I pulled away and gave him a shy smile, "Hello, Elijah."

"How come I didn't get a kiss?" Rebekah protested playfully and Kol elbowed her, causing her to glare at him.

With a long sigh, I turned and acknowledged my final mate. "Klaus."

"Might I say that you are looking beautiful today, my dearest Morgana." he said, flashing a charming smile.

I crossed my arms over my chest and narrowed my eyes at him. I had no idea how to respond so I gave him a curt nod before addressing all of them.

"Henrik was just about to start cooking dinner before you arrived. Would you like to join us?" I offered and Henrik shot me an amused look. Dinner had been the last thing on his mind before his siblings knocked on the door.

"We ate before we arrived but we will certainly sit with you whilst you eat." Kol said with a manic sort of excitement.

"Slight problem," Henrik interjected, "I don't think we have enough chairs to seat everyone. And while we're on the topic, where were you all planning on sleeping because this house only has two beds and one sofa."

"When you spoke of your home, I imagined it to have a guest room or two." Elijah said thoughtfully, looking around at our quaint home.

"We could get a hotel?" Klaus suggested and I immediately shook my head in protest. I finally had all my mates together so there was no way I was letting them leave again.

"Until we can make other arrangements, I'm sure everything will work out if we share!" I suggested, "Two of you can sleep in my bed, one of you can take the coach and the other three can sleep in Henrik's bed."

With the exception of Henrik, all the Mikaelsons looked at me with mild horror. I exchanged an amused look with Henrik.

"We will work something out."

A/N: I hope you enjoyed this brand new chapter! Let me know what you think and if you want more!

Morgana is definitely very awkward in this chapter but can you blame her? The poor girl was just ambushed by five sexy vampires.
