Eva

As the doorbell rang, I made my way to the entrance, my heart racing with excitement. I opened the door, and my eyes widened as I saw my parents and Ivan standing on the porch, smiling at me.

I felt a lump form in my throat as I took in the sight of my loved ones, and I couldn't help but tear up.

My parents instantly pulled me into a tight hug, my mother kissing my cheeks and my father kissing my forehead. I felt like a child again, safe and protected in their arms.

My mother's voice was filled with emotion as she asked, "Kak ty, moy rebenok? Izvinite za vsyo, cherez chto vam prishlos' proyti"
[How are you, my child? I'm sorry for everything that you had to go through] she said sobbing as well still hugging me tightly.

I sniffled and sobbed lightly, feeling a mix of happiness and relief wash over me. I had missed my family so much, and being reunited with them was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I hugged them back, holding them tightly, and whispered, "I'm fine, Mama, Papa. I'm fine."

My brother Ivan stood behind our parents, a warm smile on his face, and I could see the happiness in his eyes. He waited patiently for his turn to hug me, and when our parents finally released me, he swept me into a tight bear hug, lifting me off the ground. "Hey, Ev," he whispered, his voice filled with affection. "I've missed you so much."

I laughed and hugged him back, feeling like I was home again, surrounded by the people I loved.

I led my parents and Ivy into the living room. As we walked in, I glanced at the clock and saw that it was already 4:45 pm, and Enzo had left just a little while ago, saying he had something important to take care of,his words not mine. And i do have a bit of idea of what rather whom he had to take care of. He had promised to be back before dinner.

As we settled into the living room, I realized I was in my leggings and hoodie, my hair pulled back into a messy bun. I hadn't bothered to get dressed up since it was just my family coming over for dinner, and I knew they wouldn't judge me for my casual attire. Besides, they had seen me in worse states before, and I was sure they wouldn't mind my relaxed look.

After chatting with them I headed to the kitchen to check on the dinner preparations, and as I was inspecting the dishes, I heard Ivan's voice behind me. "Hey, messy bun, what's cooking?" he said, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

I turned around to see him grinning at me, and before I could react, he started messing with my hair, teasing me about my messy bun. I laughed and swatted at his hands, trying to get him to stop. "Ivy, stop it! You're not a kid anymore," I said, pretending to be annoyed.

But Ivan just chuckled and continued to annoy me, and we ended up bickering back and forth like we used to when we were kids. It was a familiar and comforting routine, and I felt my heart fill with love for my brother.

Eventually, we both ended up sitting on the counter in the kitchen corner, eating chocolate and giggling together. But then Ivan's expression turned serious, and he asked, "Ev? How's Lorenzo? Is everything alright between you guys? Is he treating you right? "

I sighed, looking down at the chocolate in my hand. "He's been good, Ivy. In fact, he's been everything but bad since this recent incident. He's been taking care of me, being attentive and sweet... but I don't know if it's just out of sympathy and guilt, and if it will all end after some days. Or if he really has something for me, as his wife ,as his life partner . I just don't know," I said, my voice barely above a whisper, unsure of what the future held for us.

Ivan's expression turned serious, and he looked at me with a concerned gaze. "Eva, when you went missing, Lorenzo was anything but sane. He went mad after your disappearance. At first, I thought it was just because he had to face the Russian Bratva if anything happened to you, but as the days went by, he became more and more insane, like a mad bull that couldn't be controlled."
