We spent two days on the Amtrak train, heading west through hills, over rivers, past amber waves of grain.

We weren't attacked once, but I didn't relax. I felt that we were traveling around in a display case, being watched from above and maybe from below, that something was waiting for the right opportunity.

I had a slight problem with sleeping, every time that i would, my dreams were plagued with nightmares of falling into voids and cold ancient laughter. Falling for an endless loop until Apollo would drag me out of it, consoling me until i was calm again before he would talk about all the places his sun Chariot would take him and the beauties he's seen.

Telling me just how magnificent the world is from above and promising me that when i would be done with this quest, he would take me for a 24 hour ride around the world in his chariot and i would get to drive it too.

It made me feel better, and forget about my dreams.

I didn't feel the rage again, not like the first time. It was like it had been Kronos who had fuelled the anger somehow or maybe i had nothing to feel angry about.

Apollo wasn't the only one to visit me in my dreams, my father had made an appearance again too. When Apollo didn't safe me during a short nap in the middle of the say, my father had. He came into my dreams by making us sit down in the middle of the ocean, on the bottom, on a green rock with all kinds of coral colours around us and all types od fish swimming past us. I had never been so close to sharks before, but i knew that they were just my dreams.

"I heard from Apollo about your nightmare." My father had said to me. "He's worried for you, so i thought that i would keep my eye a little closer on you myself."

I looked with owlish eyes at my father as I wasn't surprised that Apollo had mentioned it. He had admitted that he wouldn't let anything happen to me and if this was his way of getting me to be safe from Kronos then i will let him. Besides, it's only fair to my father that he knows.

"He didn't say much about your dream just that you were falling through an endless void and that it terrified you." He says before he holds his hands closed together. A flash of blue light shines from his hands and the next thing i know, he is holding a beautiful pearl beaded necklace. One bead looks different from the next as they line all around.

I look at the endless loop of pearl beads, no clasp or hook for the necklace to open or close, just endless. No bead ends with a clasp but a pearl bead.

"I want you to wear this, princess." He tells me, holding the small sized necklace in his hand. I could tell it would fit me like a glove. The necklace of Apollo hangs lower, like a necklace. "I know Apollo gave you something similar, but this way i can keep tabs on you. Tell that you're okay, and if you're scared. Not even death can break the necklace's bond, but i will know if you died." He tells me as he somehow makes it work, opening the necklace to fit it around my neck.

It fits me like a glove. Like i had been born with the thing around my neck as i can feel no clasp, nothing but pearl beads that follow the next one. I brush it over with my fingers. "Thank you." I say softly to him.

"I will know when you need me, if you're hurt or not. It will tell me what i want to know. It's a very dangerous world out there." He tells her as he looks at a massive shark pass us by. "Even more so for you than any other half-blood. But please, never lose the naive and innocent out look on life, just be careful."

I nod my head. "I promise."

With that, i had woken up. My father had given me a necklace that Annabeth had questioned about how it got there. I told her it had been from my dad, as she had nodded her head and went back to reading a book that she had found lost in the wagon. Something about Yetis. Percy had looked a little annoyed that i had gotten a gift from dad and he didn't but i told him that it was because of the nightmares.
