-HORUS POV-

Flying above the fast desert in quick speeds was not a tough challenge for Horus, especially if his loved ones were in danger. He grasped tighter to the boy he was transporting.

He glanced down and saw the little boys lip quivering, he assumed because of the cold temperatures until he saw tears, tears which were never seen before from the boy.

Horus decided to land for the time being, although when they hit the ground Anubis fell to his knees, clutching onto his fragile skull in agony, Horus jumped to his side and whipped the boys head so he could see his face.

Painful veins were swelling on his forehead, green vines were forming, leaching off his ears and mouth, his eyes were dull almost like he had stopped fighting, Horus shaked him awake, trying to snap him out of this horrible nightmare yet he was unsuccessful.

"I can't feel m-my body" Anubis slurred, Horus stared into his eyes, there was no sign of a soul at all only an empty void filled with pain and anguish.

"He caught up to you already!?" Horus slightly panicked, pulling the boy to somewhere lighter, he examined the boys body as it started to corrode into dust, fragments of hopelessness. "I-Im scared" this was the first time the boy uttered this sacred words, Horus felt a fear like no other, Is really the power of his father? Why.. would he ever think to to such harm. Horus hugger the boys weakening body, grasping onto any life he showed. " I promise.. I will save you" he looked down at Anubis and smiled "you shouldn't owe me anything.. tell Y/N and my father thank you." Sparks of dust flew into the silent air, his body was now disappearing into the night sky, creating even more stars in the sky. Horus looked at the sight, instantly saddening.

He felt like he was useless as he watched this boy disappear completely, once all the dust was gone he smashed his fist in the sand bellow him, it's like he saw red when he stared at the remains, green vines surrounded his pathway. He took this as a sign to fly above the ground and find the people he hunted.

After a few endless hours, Horus feeling still unlike himself found the location of the two individuals, he sent out hundreds of birds to locate. And this attempt was successful.

He quickly retracted his winds as he crashed behind a tent, he glanced at the inhumane conditions this base was, he saw people trapped in chains all over the main sanctuary, people naked in cages, rich people observing them, the once peaceful fountain was only filled with gunk and debris from damaged building, this was utter disrespect, the floor was dug up endlessly dirt scattered around everywhere.

He brushed this off and focused himself on the purple tent, it's was shining a hue of pink, like it was specifically used to draw people in. He knew thats where they were held up.

He swiftly made his way towards this tent until a child ran in his path, he stopped as he kneeled down to the fallen boy. The boy had soft skin, with big dark brown eyes and almond skin. His hair was in a rough state. He looked oddly familiar, it made Horus clench the fabric on his thighs. The boy remained quiet and scurried away.

"I see I have another visitor! Welcome" Horus gathered himself back up, looking intently at the person infront of him. The man had only a robe on, revealing his tanned abs and strong arms. His caramel hair fell to his built shoulders and his golden eyes radiated like one of a hawk. His energy felt off somehow.

"Don't be shy.. I have some goods in the back" He smiled sinisterly and directed Horus through the big tent, it was spacious with trinkets scattered around, gold was a common theme for wealthy businessmen to wear, this man was full of rings, necklaces and bracelets.

He moved a curtain behind to reveal many dressed up servants, fully revealed to draw the attention of animals who entered, Horus looked around only looking for two certain people.

"Of course if your taste is a little more expensive.. we have better ones in the far back!" He clasped his hands together, smiling wickedly. He brought Horus to another room but before he pushed the curtain beside he whispered "they are pretty rowdy, but easy to silence." He pushed the heavy curtain beside to reveal the golden items.

He saw two figures chained up, back to back in outfits what traced ever perfect curve of their body.

One of the heads turned around, head barely keeping stable "H-horus..?" Y/N spoke barely making sense. Horus felt an ache in his heart.

The now black haired man whipped his head around and muffled into the choking device, Horus stepped forward taking it down, ignoring the man behind him. He pulled it down and Seth instantly choked out "These rats think they can put a hand on me!! Let me out so I can fucking KILL THIS GUY" Seth rattled the chains which hung over his hands but also Y/Ns "please stop moving.. my head is done" Y/N whispers out, Seth instantly stopped and hung his head low.

"So?.. you guys are familiar? No good" Horus slowly turned around, flashing a deathly stare towards the man in the corner, he raised his palms and nervously chuckled.

"Looks like I lost this one" he ran out of the tent, supposedly to gather troops. Horus quickly pulled the chains apart, separating the two from entrapment.

Y/N instantly gathered their hands and pulled their hair up, bending over as they spewed out their guts, Seth rushed to their side and rubbed their back. "They drugged her bad.. I told her not to go over board" Seth whispered as he ripped the clothes off him, he grabbed cloth nearby and wrapped it around his waist. "I shouldn't be treated with utter disrespect, disgusting creatures shall be crushed" Seth growled, Horus did not say a word.

Y/N looked around, noticing something was missing, their headpiece clinked together as their head spun. "Wheres Anubis?.." she desperately asked, Horus did not say anything. Seth clutched onto his arms, shaking his body.

"I'm sorry.. it caught up it him, I couldn't prevent it." He weakly spoke, guilt running through his tone as he looked down. Seth stopped, Y/N froze falling to their knees they couldn't help but scream out in pain and agony after all the suffering they just went through, Seth couldn't feel anything, the world had stopped for him. He only imagined of times when it was much simpler, when everything was without pain.

"Papa! Look what I found today" His sweet voice called out, almost like an echo now.

"I'm busy.. I have no time for your ridiculous nonsense" He remembered his past figure being as diligent as ever in his work, his son only looked up dropping the tiny shell he found before walking away coldly. It was now like Seth felt this figure grasping out a hand towards the now disappearing boy "please don't leave.. I'm sorry" his voice muffled near the end as he snapped back into reality. He grasped his own heart,he's never felt such emotion before but it was too much for his body to handle as it fully pushed him over the edge, his body nearly collapsed to the floor but Horus luckily caught him.

Y/N stared down at their palms, looking at all the rough edges, the cuts and mostly the absence of the little boy they tired to protect. They rose, no more tears were coming out anymore.

"We have to leave" pain was exposed through their condensing character, yet they were right so Horus lead them out of the tent, they glanced at the many people inslaved agasint their will Y/N simply waved a finger, heaving wind slicing their chains. It was obvious they were channelling their anger through their power, smart yet mentally draining.
