"He will wake up soon." Horus combs through his silk hair, around Seth layed glowing feathers, purposely spread around him for comfort, Y/N leant back still feeling completely distraught.

She looked around the room of the temple Horus brought them to, remembering the days when it was just her and Anubis playing in the temples, running recklessly around the palace walls. She remembered his gleaming smile yet painfully ignored the clear black engulfing him over time. Her eyes brows crossed.

Seth stirred awake, clumsily raising his head. He instantly shot open his eyes, analysing the room he was in, he quickly looked down at the robe he was wearing and slapped Horus in the face before walking out. "I didn't expect that" Horus dumbly said, Y/N stared at him "his son just died, give him some time" She plainly spoke, the sourness on her tongue made Horus grumble, obviously she didn't mean to be so cruel but she couldn't help it.

Seth brushed past all the people, working in the temple, he made his way to a river of water so he could clean the pain away. Which was unrealistic but that's how he can cope, the only way.

"Excuse me" a sweet voice spoke next to him, he turned around seeing a woman bending down, her hair dropped in-front of her face but she was quite gorgeous with full eyelashes, amber eyes and black silky hair. She flashed a smile showing off her dimples as she pushed her hair away from her face.

"Are you okay?" She sat next to him, dipping her feet into the water, he sighed not giving a response. She nodded and stirred the water around with her soft fingers. "I get it.. life is rough right now, anyways I came over here and noticed the pin in your hair.." She pointed at the black pin in his hair, to be honest he didn't even notice it till now "thats from the markets.. if I was you I'd throw it away before people think something is up" His face twisted as he grasped the pin and crushed it completely, sand fell from his hands. She gasped in excitement. "That's one way to do it! I was apart of the market you know.." he silently turned his head as he listened to her speak "Yes... I was 10 when I was taken from my family, I was used as a slave for years on end in that place, but no one wanted to buy me because I was quite ugly. They still used me in hundreds of ways though" she smiled, he wondered how strong she had to be to handle that.

"But you were a child?.." his voice croaked, it sounded odd because he hadn't of spoken in a while. "Yes but they don't care about that, men will always do their own things coming to that. Men kind in general disrespect women for no reasons at all. Thats just how it is" He dryly looked at her, remembering all the sins he committed in his tyranny. "But one day, a huge storm erupted around my market place, it was ruthless. Nothing was getting past it, not even the market survived yiu know Im even surprised I made it until I saw something majestical. I saw a god, a god who saved me!" Her radiant happiness lurched off her.

"I saw his mask in all glory! He was directing the sand like his own tool.. and get this he completely destroyed the market. So that's why I was able to escape! I'll never forget that moment" She splashed the water beneath her out of excitement. He smiled and stared down at his reflection in the water, he didn't want to ruin this moment, he watched as her hair moved so gracefully in the wind. Almost admiring her strength. The way she ignores her weaknesses. "You said they thought you were ugly? I don't understand that." She smirked before bursting out laughing "yes I was a very ugly kid, when I came to this sanctuary they fixed me up! To be honest I never thought I'd look like this"

He nodded "What temple is this?" He asked curiously, his voice not so dry anymore.

"Ah! Im guessing you were the one passed out when you came here. You're at one of Shus many sanctuary!" Seth froze, unaware he was at one of his ancestors temple. However because this one wasn't as huge he knew there would be no gods roaming around this area, except himself.

"It's late.. I should probably get back to my room. It was nice meeting you." She leant out her palm, he took it and shook it. "Set, my name" he smiled and walked away. Talking to that girl made him relaxed, made him forget although obviously it still lingered in his head, he will find a way to bring him back. To reclaim his soul.

He returned to the room,he saw Horus was gone and saw Y/N sleeping peacefully in a new gown which looked comfortable, he sat next to her and dug himself in to her arms. He at least found her. at least he had someone he trusted fully. He wrapped his arm tightly around her silhouette, taking in her floral scent, it made him think back to when she was at his temple, where she planted flowers as a job. He slowly drifted off to sleep, not even loosening his grip on her, only tightening it.

A couple hours later, when the moon was at its highest peak Horus silently returned to the room, the room was lit with a small lamp next to the resting bodies, he put it their for Y/N when he remembered their conversations.

-Flashback-

"Thank you.." Horus whispered, Y/N hummed as she twisted the ring on her finger what attached to fabric what trailed along her arm, she batted her long eyelashes at him as he spoke.

"That's what he told me to tell you. 'Thank you'" Y/N stopped all of her movement and let go of her ring, she sighed taking of her heavy crown and placed it on the table. Her footsteps lead to where Horus sat, she stood towering over him. He looked up, seeing her tired eyes as she looked down.

He quickly wrapped her in his arms, he knew she liked the feeling of being enveloped so now she will never have to ask, she felt her cold hands touch his back, tightening her grip on his mask as she gently pulled it down. She revealed his short black hair, his oceanic blue eyes and his soft demeanour. She weakly smiled as she looked up at him and raised her hand agasint his cheek "I know.. but you deserve one too" He slid his arms around her waist instead. He frowned and looked into her beautiful eyes, coloured like a peaceful paradise he could spend lifetime in.

"I won't let him slip easily.. I know he has to come back, I won't give up" She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled his head down as she pressed her body against him,
Hugging him so tightly. He didn't remember the last time he hugged her but it felt so comforting.

After hugging she let go and prepared for bed, she left for a bit and came back with a night gown, it was still as elegant as she was but looked comfortable. She let the lamp shine the room up and placed her head against the pillow. "I don't think I'll be able to sleep in the dark for a while Horus.." She bluntly said, gazing at the empty roof, he hummed "I'll watch over it so it doesn't go out." She warmly smiled and pulled the covers over her, sinking into the pit of feathers.
