After the cafe date (I guess you could call it) we went back to the car and talked until he took me to another lake.
"Let's go skinny dipping." He stops the car.
"Right now?"
"We don't have to be naked. We can be in our underwear."
"Underwear."
"Okay."
I took off my shirt and pants so I sit there in my bra and underwear. He takes off his shorts and shirt. God, he's so handsome. We play in the water for quite sometime before we come back cold. He turns on the radio and surprise surprise, Marry Me by Train comes on.
"Robin,"
"Yes?"
He leans in and kisses me. That turns to making out. He stops.
"Back seat." He says. So we move there. He combs over to the trunk and grabs a blanket and covers us. We continue making out before anything else happens. This goes on for 5 minutes before he tells me we should get home soon. I put on one of his shirts before he sits in the driver seat and I sit in the passenger.
Even though he was in the driver seat in his boxers and I'm in the passenger seat, I can feel every part of him with me. Like he's here and he's alive. Because he is here and alive dumb ass. Like he's every beautiful thing I feel.
At a stop sign down a small street he looks at me. He stares at me lovingly. Like, he's looking at all beautiful things.
"You make me feel all beautiful things whenever I'm with you." I say to him quietly.
"Because you are all beautiful things, even when you're not with me."
I lose track of what song is playing but I believe it's Your Call by Secondhand Serenade.
He looks to the road and continues driving.
Again I beat Emma and Stone home so I take a shower, put on one of Will's shirts and a pair of shorts and go to bed.
The week soon quickly passes and I'm now officially on summer break. After the weekend, the first Monday of summer, Will comes to my window at 2am. He threw pebbles at my window.
"Come down Robin!" He yells in a whisper.
"Give me a minute." I yell in a whisper back.
I slowly climb down the vine outside my window and jump when I'm 3ft High. He catches me.
"Let's run away." He says.
"What? Why?"
"Because I'm so sick of this goddam place. I wanna go somewhere new."
"When will we be back?"
"I don't know."
"Where we going?"
"I don't know."
"We don't have any money."
"I do. Here." He runs back to his car and comes back with a small box. He slowly opens it up and it's filled with cash.
"Where did you get all this money?"
"I've been saving up."
I examine the money, $10,500.
"So, you in or out?"
"Give me 5 minutes to pack."
I climb back up the vine. I grab a small suitcase from my closet. I pack as much as clothes as possible and the bag of books.
"Will, catch!" I yell in a whisper down the window. He was leaning on his car before he moves closer to catch my suitcase. As he does I climb down.
"What's the plan?" I ask and I swing my arms around.
"Text Emma and Stone telling them that you're gonna be gone for a while and you'll let them know you're okay every chance you have."
"Okay."
I text Emma.
I'm gonna be away for a while. I don't know when I'll be back exactly but I'll let you know I'm okay whenever I can. I love you Em, tell Stone that him and you are gonna make great parents someday.
I get into the car and charge my phone.
After Will drove for a few miles I fall asleep.
I dream that Will and I are jumping on clouds while We The Kings play in the background. Then we stop. We lay down and soon he and I are shirtless and I'm tracing his torso and I look up to him. He's about to kiss me when I wake up. I checked my phone. I got a text from Emma.
Where are you going?
When do you think you'll be back?
Who are you with?
Come home Robin! I'm gonna try and track you down.
I text back.
Please don't. I'm okay. I'm with Will.
She texts back.
Do you have enough food, water, gas, money, etc?
I text back,
Yes. I love you Em, thanks for being a great sister.
She texts back,
Be home soon. Be Safe.
I can hear her tell Stone that sometimes teenagers just need to get away. I offer to drive but Will declines and keeps going. Now we're in Wisconsin and he stops at a gas station. I run in to use the bathroom and grab some food and drinks. I run back into the car. He filled up the car and gets going. Before we leaves he stares at me.
"Ready?" I smile.
"Yeah." And I nodd. He starts driving and I start writing.
Here I am, thousands of miles away from the place I call home with the boy I love. He is adventure. He is a journey. He is a cliché book character. He is my love. He is hope. He is power. He is Will.
After a long few minutes he finally says something.
"Whatcha writing?"
"Words."
He laughs.
"Seriously." He attempts to look at my notebook.
"Ah, ah, ah, eyes on the road."
He throws his head back so he's looking at the road.
"I'm writing about you." I say not looking up.
"What about me?" He asked.
"He is adventure. He is a journey. He is a cliché book character. He is my love. He is hope. He is power. He is Will."
"I like it." He says.
After a moment passes he looks at the back seat then on the road again.
"Why don't you read me a book?"
I pause.
"Oh, okay." I unbuckle my seat belt and climb into the back.
"What's something you haven't read?"
"Too many books."
I roll my eyes and grab a copy of Go Ask Alice. I climb back to the front and put my notebook down into the side.
"September 16th. Yesterday I remember thinking I was the happiest person in the whole earth, in the whole galaxy, in all of God's creation..."
