Authors POV:-
As Arya fainted while running, Shreeyansh caught her in his arms, kneeling down to cradle her head on his arm while her body rested on his thigh. "Arya, Arya!" he called out, tapping her cheeks gently, but she didn't wake up. He quickly sprinkled some water on her face, but still, she didn't stir. With urgency, he scooped her up in a bridal style, noting how her heavy breaths indicated she was struggling to breathe.
When they reached the palace gates, his heart sank. His family stood there, a formidable barrier blocking their way. His mother, grandmother, father, and the rest of his family stared at them with unyielding resolve.
Shreeyansh POV:-
As I was having breakfast, Abhay Bhaisa stormed in and sat across from me, his eyes blazing with fury. I knew Mr. Khanna must have divulged everything, and now the storm had arrived.
"What did you do?" he demanded, his voice like thunder.
"What?" I replied, taking a nonchalant bite of my sandwich.
He snatched the sandwich from my hand and hurled it to the floor. My delicious meal lay ruined.
"Is this what your elders taught you? Disrespecting a woman and her family? Forcing her into marriage by threatening her family with a gun? Flaunting your power over those who had no part in your vendetta? Tell me, Shreeyansh, the King of Rajgarh, is this the example you intend to set for our people?" he shouted, his anger palpable.
"Bhaisa, listen to me..." I tried to explain, my tone cold and unyielding.
"Is this a joke to you? Now that you're married to her, you must commit to this marriage fully. Remember, our dynasty forbids divorce. And you married an outsider who knows nothing about our kingdom, culture, or traditions. Did you think you could hide this marriage from everyone? Well, news has spread, and the kingdoms that once supported us may turn against us because of your spiteful decision," he said, disappointment and rage mingling in his voice.
"Bhai—" I began, but then I noticed her slipping out of the car through the back door.
"Oh, a little chipmunk trying to escape," I thought, a cruel smile forming on my lips as Abhay Bhaisa's gaze followed her through the window.
"Are you serious? How are you going to handle her? Or rather, how is she going to handle you? Have you considered that she will be our queen and will need to adapt to our way of life? Have you thought about our family's reaction? SHREEYANSH, I AM TALKING TO YOU!" he screamed, but my focus was already on her futile escape attempt.
"Abhay Bhaisa, can we continue this conversation later? My officially wedded wife is trying to run away...she must be bored," I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm as I jumped out of the window and followed her. I must say, she's fast enough to win a gold medal in a race. My guards were trailing her from a distance to ensure she didn't get lost in my kingdom. My wife is so naive—she doesn't realize that no one can leave my kingdom without my permission, not even a single leaf. So who does she think she is?
