Baby

Prompt: you are 17 and have a newborn baby but you haven't told anyone about your baby or that you were pregnant and help comes when you unexpected it 

Letting out a little sob you tried to calm your newborn baby but everything you did wasn't working but you had nobody to help you so knew you had to figure it out yourself, rocking your baby girl on your chest to try and calm her down "come on baby girl, let's calm down and sleep" you whisper to the baby but she seemed to cry even louder at your words which made you cry more and soon you were crying just as much as your baby was but you quickly wiped your tears when you heard your phone ring from next to you and wasn't surprised to see it was your work ringing you since you hadn't told them you were ever pregnant or even had a newborn baby since you were ashamed since you were only 17 years old and had a five day old baby girl, trying to stop the tears you answered the call but didn't say anything but heard "Y/N, it's Autumn I'm just ringing to see if you were okay since your email didn't state much and this is the fourth shift you have emailed sick" come through the phone in Autumn's voice and you couldn't form a sentence except a sob from hearing how concerned Autumn sounded "Y/N are you there" you heard Autumn ask and you quickly hung the phone call up in a panic before throwing your phone across the room. After throwing your phone you stood up with your daughter in your arms to try and soothe her even if it didn't work you just wanted to keep trying even if you were tired and hadn't slept in 2 days since your daughter wouldn't settle for a minute, you knew she wasn't hungry or needed a change so you were struggling to figure out what was wrong with your own baby, pacing around the room with your daughter in your arms you were close to giving up but you stayed persistent and kept pacing around the room whilst patting your daughters back, after an hour you were back to crying whilst your daughter was crying still but more quietly but you were getting worried since she hadn't stopped crying for a while but before you officially broke down you heard a knock on your front door and you walked to the door and opened it to see Autumn and Charlotte stood at your door and you were shocked to see them at your door.

Autumn was sat in the office going through emails when she let out a sigh when she saw another email from Y/N stating she won't be in and this was the fourth email that the young apprentice had emailed in saying she won't be in work and she decided to ring the young apprentice to see what was going on with her, picking up the office phone she pulled up Y/N's details on the computer and dialled the number she had for the apprentice and put the phone to her ear whilst waiting for the call to connect before hearing heavy breathing and she got concerned when she the heavy breathing she heard turned to crying "Y/N, it's Autumn I'm ring to see if you were okay since your email didn't state much and this is the fourth shift you have emailed sick" she says when she didn't hear anything except for the sobs coming through the phone and she waited for a response before talking again "Y/N are you there" she asked again down the phone and was shocked when all she heard was the call being hung up on her and she went from concerned to worried about the young apprentice. After placing the phone in the holder she quickly came up with a plan but she wouldn't be able to do anything until Marjorie came in since Marjorie was on the closing shift, Autumn was tidying her things away so she could leave as soon as Marjorie came in and looked up when she heard footsteps and saw Marjorie enter the office "morning Autumn" she heard Marjorie greet her and she stood up from her chair and watched as Marjorie placed her belongings on her desk "morning Marjorie, I need to leave for a few hours would you be okay on your own for a few hours" she says to Marjorie whilst gathering her belongings "I will be fine but just so I know where are you going" she heard Marjorie say and she nodded whilst moving to leave the office "Y/N emailed in again and when I rang her mobile all I was met with was sobbing coming from her end of the call so I want to go check on her" she says to Marjorie and saw the brunette look at her with worried eyes "ohh I hope she is okay, if you need anything give me a call and I will try to help you" she heard Marjorie say and she nodded before leaving the office, after leaving the office Autumn made her way down the corridor before stopping so she wouldn't bump into Charlotte and saw the brunette look up at her "ohh sorry Autumn, I was in my own world glad you stopped otherwise we would've crashed" she heard Charlotte say and she nodded before walking around the brunette "it's okay Charlotte, I was in a rush and would've bumped into you if I hadn't stopped so it's both our fault if we did crash" she says to the brunette who she saw nod "I'll let you go if your in a rush, where are you rushing off too" she heard Charlotte ask softly and she smiled at the brunette "to Y/N's since she emailed in and when I phoned her I was met with sobbing so I want to go check on her" she explained to Charlotte and saw Charlotte frown at her words "ohh, I messaged her last night to see if she was okay but she never got back to me, if you can let her know I'm here if she needs it" she heard Charlotte say and she nodded before getting an idea "your spare today aren't you Charlotte" she asked the brunette and she saw Charlotte nod at her before hearing "I am spare" come from Charlotte and she nodded "why don't you come with me, I think it might be easier for both of us go and check on her, I'll message Marjorie to let her know" she says to Charlotte and she saw the brunette nod at her before seeing Charlotte rush to get her stuff and she waited at the main entrance for Charlotte.
