Kuma's fur was matted and his eyes were starved. He growled at Canada and America when they entered.
This thing wasn't Kuma anymore.
"Alfie! Watch out!" Canada shouted as one of the bear's paws lashed forward. America leaned backward, narrowly avoiding those untrimmed claws.
Germany entered right then, gun ready. Kuma moved his attacks to the newcomer, allowing America to sneak behind it.
"Be careful." Canada warned them. "If you get scratched, he'll probably take you with him."
Germany and America nodded as Spain jumped in.
Kuma was getting confused. He took a hit in the leg from Spain's sword, letting out a whine that broke Canada's heart.
The bear reared up facing Germany and Spain. The back of his neck was exposed to the Canadian.
"Now, bro, here's your chance." America shouted. Canada nodded, looking from the gun in his hands to the bear in front of him.
"Hurry." Spain cried out as a massive white paw just missed his shoulder.
Canada steadied his hands pressing his finger against the trigger. He heard a pop and Kumajiro fell to the ground.
"Canada?" He squeaked, stretching his paw toward his owner.
"You remembered my name?" Canada choked.
"Careful, dude." America muttered.
"I do." Kuma nodded weakly. "You're Canada." With that, the bear's eyes fell shut. Canada coughed up a small sob.
"Birdie!" Prussia ran into the room followed by France. The two wrapped their arms around the grieving country.
All over the world, zombies were collapsing into piles of dust.
"It's all over now, mon garçon."
