Hey, Barry...

Ch.1

Barry's pov
     I was editing an episode of steam train when I felt Arin tap on my shoulder. I took off my headphones and spun around to face him.
"Whatcha need?" I asked casually, although I was kind of pissed he interrupted me. It was almost one and I still had two episodes of grumps to edit tonight. "I just wanted to tell you that the new editor starts tommorow. Sorry to interrupt you I know you have a lot to do tonight" Arin stated. "It's okay man, I can't wait for the new guy to start, all this work is starting to drive me insane." I said groggily. "Dude, when did you go to bed last night? You look like a zombie." " I didn't exactly go to bed, but I'll be fine. Have a good night Arin I just have to finish these episodes." "Night Barry, just get some sleep. Okay?" "Yes, mom." I replied turning back to my computer.
     I woke up to the dreaded sound of my phone ringing. I looked around and saw I was still in the grump HQ, I must have fallen asleep there last night. I answered my phone with out checking to see who it was. "Yeah?" I said in my groggy morning voice. "Hey Barry, I was wondering if you wanted any coffee, I'm about to leave to go to the grump space. I know you've had a long couple of nights." I heard the voice say realizing it was Dan. "Yeah that'd be great Dan, just a large black please. I was up until like three last night and I'm still not done with the last episode."  I replied. "Can do. When are you going to get the space?" Dan asked. "I fell asleep at my desk last night. I haven't left for like two days" I told Danny. "Shit man, sounds like you need that coffee asap, I'll be there as soon as possible! I gotta go Bear, Ive got to get ready." Thanks, bye Dan!" I hung up and checked the time. It was 9:45 and I immediately got back to work on the episode I had to finish.
"Hey Barry! Here's your coffee." Dan said. He handed me the cup and sat next to me. "Thank you so, so much Dan. I think it's all catching up to me." I said after taking a sip of coffee. "It's okay Bear. Anything to make you feel better." Dan said placing his hand on my shoulder. I noticed Dan was being a lot more flirtatious towards me lately. I didn't really know how to take it, but I didn't hate it. It's nice to know someone cares. I turned my head towards Dan to see him staring at me. He didn't turn away when I looked at him. I looked into his eyes and he slowly leaned towards me. Our faces were only a few inches a way when we heard the door open. I snapped towards my computer as if nothing had happened. Was Dan going to kiss me? I asked my self. I hope so.
