Ch.3

Barry's Pov
I sat in the car remaining silent while Arin, Dan, and Suzy were talking about grumps stuff. We pulled up to the restaurant and got out of the car. The waiter seated us. I was sat next to Dan, and across from Suzy. I cheered up by talking to Suzy, even if this wasn't an exclusive date with Dan I did get to have a great night with my best friends.
     Suzy was telling me about some of her taxidermy stuff while Arin and Dan were talking about grump stuff. "Anyway I just started to taxidermy a big spider..." Suzy said enthusiastically. My focus was lost when I felt Dan place his hand on my knee. I looked at him, but he kept his eyes on Arin. I felt him gently squeeze my leg. I then saw my
Phone light up with a notification. It was a text from Dan.
Danny - Hey, can I talk to you after Suzy and Arin take us home?
B- where?
Danny- idk maybe just come back with me.
B-Can't we just talk at the grump space tommorow?
Danny- Bear, it's important.
B- I guess so
I loved when Danny called me bear. I don't know why. Maybe it just made me feel special. I was thinking about this when I felt Dan's hand slowly move toward my inner thigh. I looked at him his gaze was already on me. I looked back toward Suzy trying to seem normal. I glanced at Dan again and he just smiled.
Suzy and Arin had dropped us off and we were walking towards Dans door. We hadn't talked the whole ride back. I was nervous as to what Dan wanted to "talk" about but knowing Dan, it wasn't hard to guess what was going to happen. Dan held the door open for me. I walked inside and sat on the couch. Dan followed me and sat on the opposite side of the couch. "So what did you want to talk about?" I asked Dan. He didn't say anything for a minute or two. I moved closer to him. He pulled my body next to his. I relaxed into his embrace.
     We stayed cuddling like that for what seemed like an eternity. I was drifting of to sleep when I heard Dan say, "Hey, Barry. I love you."
