Kiara

A week passed. Today was my appointment with my family doctor.

"Kiara Wilson!" a lady called out. I stood up and went to the back to the examination room. I sat on the table. "Dr. Alison will be right with you shortly," the lady said. I nodded. As I sat there, I grew nervous. Minutes later, my doctor came in the room smiling. "Kiara, how are you?" she asked. I nodded. "I'm fine, just some issues," I said lowly. She nodded. "Like what?" she asked. "I think I may be pregnant," I said. She looked taken aback. "Okay," she dragged out. I sighed. "What happened?" she asked. "Chres....was abusing me," I said. She nodded. "Damn," she mumbled. "Sooner or later I knew this going to happen, I kept telling Karen but she wouldn't believe me."

"Did you take a test?" she asked. I nodded, handing her my test out of my clutch. She read the test and nodded. She turned on the sonogram table and got her equipment together. She gathered some needles and some a small basket of containers. "I need to run a blood test, give me your arm please," I nervously handed her my arm, and she extracted a small amount of blood. She bandaged my arm and laid a blanket over my lower half. She turned on the machine.

"Now can you raise your shirt please," she said. I raised my shirt, and she squeezed some cold gel on my stomach. She rolled the controller all over my stomach, noticing my little embryo. I smiled, seeing my little baby there made me filled with rejoice. "Look, there's your little one," Dr. Alison smiled. I smiled feeling myself get emotional. I took a deep breath. She took a few pictures and printed them out. "Promise me you won't tell my mom," I begged. She sighed and nodded. "Fine Kiara, but you will have to soon or I won't hesitate to," she raised her eyebrow. I nodded. "Deal," I said. She cleaned my stomach and handed my the pictures. "What are thinking about doing?" she asked. "Adoption. I want someone to adopt my baby and keep in touch with me," I replied. She nodded. "Sounds good, I think I can arrange that," she said. I nodded. "Have a nice day Kiara," she said. I got out of the chair and gave her a hug. I went into the lobby. "Okay Alex, I'm ready to go," she stood up and hugged me close, walking out of the building. We got into her car and she drove off.

"So have you decided on what you're going to do?" Alex asked. I nodded. "Adoption, keeping in touch with who adopts him or her," I replied. She nodded. "When are you going to tell your mom?" she asked. I shrugged. "I have no clue, don't want nobody to kill Chres," I said lowly. Alex giggled. "Do he even know?" she asked. I nodded. She shook her head. "You know, momma Karen is going to notice the symptoms sooner or later," Alex said. I sighed. "I know," I groaned, rubbing my stomach at the aching. "Everything good?" she asked. I nodded. "You know, stomach aches, it happens." I said. "Yeah I know," Alex said lowly. We both slid into her car. "Well you know you have me if anything," Alex said. I nodded. Alex started up her car and drove down the road.

When Alex arrived back to my house, I got out.

"I'll text you later, bye, love you," I said, hugging Alex. Alex hugged me back. "I love you too sister," she said. I wiped an escaped tear from my eye and closed the door. I went into the house, jolting to my room. I plopped on my bed and sighed. Laying back, I drowned myself in my thoughts. Life was crazy. Crazy how I went from being the little baby of the family to having a baby of my own. Things were going to be a drastic change and I hope it isn't for the worst.

FIVE MONTHS LATER
I am now six months pregnant. Man, I tell you, pregnancy is no joke, whatsoever. Mom found out. But not by me telling her, she sensed it like a dog sensing fear on a human. She was mad, of course. Even my step dad. Poor Chres, he was sent to live with his aunt, his father's older sister. I can't say I don't miss him, cause I'd be lying but I do wish he could be here. Experiencing this beautiful experience with me. But, that's just how life works. Mom even talked me out of giving up my baby for adoption. She claims "we'll never kill or destroy a blessing God is giving us. Even if it had a messed up way of happening." I can't say that I blame my mom, though. I also found out that my baby is a boy. A baby boy! I set his name to be Ki'rai (KE-RY). I had to use some some creativity. Man I tell you, I am huge. I'll be ecstatic when these next three months fly by. Real rejoice coming my way.

I'm not really liking this book anymore, lol. I'm planning on ending it within another chapter or two. This story went left and totally off topic lolol. But if y'all love it, that's all that matter. Thank y'all for reading it anyway
