Kiara

"Come on Kiara, don't be late!" Mom yelled. Today was the day I was going to do a normal check up on my son. "Mom, I'm coming," I groaned, waddling out of the house. I slid into the car, reclining into the seat. Soon after, mom got into the car, starting it up.

The car ride was fairly quiet besides the music mom had playing. I scrolled through my phone, checking to see if I had any notifications. I was so caught up into my phone, I didn't notice the car slide. Mom quickly got the car into control, continuing in a straight path.

"Stupid ass car," she snarled, smacking the wheel. Suddenly, the car lost a wheel, causing us to spin out of control. Fear began to rise in me as I seen the car circle. The car took another spun as we collided into another car. My body jolted the opposite direction, landing me on mom. All I seen was darkness.

"Kiara!" a voice of a thousand men in one yelled. I didn't answer. Too much fear. Too much anxiety. "Kiara, my child, I call onto you!" the voice repeated. Was this God? Was I truly being called home? No, couldn't be. I'm fifteen with a son in my stomach, I have to live! I have to have my life! I have a whole life ahead of me. I could feel myself beginning to cry. "Why must you cry?" the voice called out. "God, is that you?" I asked lowly. "Yes my child, it is me. You must not see me in the flesh because you still live," he replied. "Am I being called home?" I asked, sniffling. "No my child, you live. You were brought here to learn a precious lesson. Enjoy your life, and be the wonderful woman I made you to be. Take care of your son, and teach him about me. You must never forget about me. Now live!" I woke up to hospital machines and my step dad with mom surrounding my bed.

"Kiara, how are you feeling?" mom asked. I sighed, feeling a sharp pain in my side and shoulder. "In a little pain," I mumbled. She rubbed my shoulder. I noticed the bandages she had on her forehead and arm. "Are you okay?" I asked. "I'm fine, I just have a sprain wrist but it'll be okay," she said. I looked at my step dad. "I'm glad you're fine baby girl," he rubbed my shoulder. I nodded. I rubbed my stomach, feeling my son move. I smiled. "Mommy loves you man," I cooed softly. I looked up. "Thank you lord," I said, "thank you."
