Kristoff sat in the dimly lit chamber, his heart heavy with despair as he gazed at the beds where Anna and Elsa lay unconscious. The quiet was deafening, broken only by the faint sounds of the royal guard patrolling outside. He felt like a ghost in his own home, the weight of uncertainty pressing down on him.

Just then, a royal guard entered the room, his posture rigid and formal. "Your Majesty," he began, his tone respectful yet urgent, "visitors from a European country have arrived to see the Queen."

Kristoff rubbed his forehead, fatigue pulling at his features. "Can't it wait? Anna... she needs me."

The guard hesitated, his gaze softening. "I understand, my lord. But as King Consort, you have a duty to uphold. They've traveled a long way."

With a heavy sigh, Kristoff nodded. "Fine. I'll do my duty, but I won't be long."

As he stepped out of the room, Kristoff's mind was still clouded with worry. He made his way to the grand hall, where the royal couple awaited. The doors swung open, revealing a breathtaking sight.

The prince stood tall and confident, his regal demeanor undeniable. "Prince Phillip of the Kingdom of France," he introduced, a warm smile gracing his lips. "And this is my wife, Princess Aurora."

Kristoff's breath hitched. Aurora was stunning—her golden hair cascading like sunlight, her blue gown shimmering like the surface of a serene lake. He couldn't help but compare her beauty to Anna's and Elsa's, feeling a pang of guilt at the thought. "Uh, welcome to Arendelle," he managed to say, forcing a smile despite the turmoil within.

"Thank you for having us," Aurora replied, her voice melodic and soothing. She stepped forward, her gaze sincere. "We've heard so much about your family, especially from Anna. I hope we're not intruding at a bad time."

"No, no," Kristoff replied, waving his hand dismissively. "Just some... unfortunate circumstances. Anna and Elsa are unwell." He quickly glanced away, his heart aching.

Phillip's expression shifted to concern. "I'm sorry to hear that. Is there anything we can do to help?"

"Just your presence here is appreciated," Kristoff replied, feeling the weight of his responsibilities press upon him. "I just didn't expect guests during such a difficult time."
