We pulled up to my condo complex turned off my car and told him lets go. Dante got out and waited for me to lead the way.
"So what floor do you live on?" Dante asked.
"9th floor," I answered as I opened the doors to the main lobby. He looked around the room just taking in the scenery of room. It was a well kept room. Clean, a few chairs and couches, most of which were facing a tv. The lobby was empty as always once it gets late. I walked to the elevator and pressed the button. Once it arrived the ding it made snapped Dante out of his little trance as he gazed off at the tv. He followed me into the elevator. The doors closed and I pressed the 9 button on the panel. He seemed started by the jolt as it started climbing up the building. It was silent between us, awkward even. I think he could sense my frustration with my orders. I mean really, why in the hell do I have to babysit him, why my place? We reached my floor and we walked out. He followed me down the empty hallway to my room and waited as I unlocked it. Once we entered I told him to leave his shoes at the door. He did as instructed and walked to the living room. He looked around and had a slight smerk on his face. "Nice place."
"Yea, thanks," I grunt as I opened the fridge. I pulled out a cold soda and asked if he wanted one, he said sure so I tossed him one. Since It was 10 at night I didn't feel like cooking. So I picked up my phone and called the local pizza shop since the were still open. "Welcome to Val's pizza, may I take your order?" the cashier answered. "Yea can I have a medium pepperoni pizza, Dante do u want pizza or a sub?" He looked at me with a confused look on his face. "You know what, just make it a large pizza with an order of fries." "Yes ma'am, that'll be $18.26 and your order will be there in a half-hour." I said thanks and hung up the phone. Dante was laying on the couch. "Looks like your comfy," I told him. He shook his head as he flipped through Tv channels. He looked at me to ask, "So whats a pizza?"
"Yea right, don't play dumb." He looked at me as if befuddled. Was he serious. "Um, it's the best food you'll ever eat," I responded, "don't you have pizza where your from?" The thought finally hit me that I have no idea he's from. Could he be from one of the demon colonies, and if so why travel half way across the world to here? He shook his head and replied with a no. It dawned on me that life in the demon cities is probably world's apart from life here. Hell, if there are any humans alive in those cities they're slaves at this point. So I really doubt demons would have them making pizza's. "Welp, I'm getting in the shower, if the food comes the money's on table." I state as I walk down the hall and head towards the bathroom.
Sorry for being away for so long. Life has been crazy for me and I'm in my senior year in high school so forgive me. But my friend got me back here and I had never published this chapter. I should be writing more so look forward to that. Thanks for reading this and thanks for being patient.
