Munch, munch, gulp. I was eating an apple that I had found in the forest. It was juicy and delicious. I had washed it in the stream by my palace. As I finished it off, I looked outside. It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, it was perfect. If only I had someone to share it with.

You see, I'm an orphan. My whole family got killed in the palace fire. My brother, mom, and dad. Everyone was amazed that I had survived. They asked me again and again how I survived while I was surrounded in fire. I usually said "i don't know.". But, that's not the case. I know very clearly.

Fire was all around me. I was holding my baby brother so tight. My face was wet with tears. I looked all around me. I didn't see my mom or my dad. Then, I looked back at my baby brother. He was gone.

"Nature!" I screamed his name, over and over. I didn't see his face. Then, I saw my dad gallop out of the fire. He was bruised and burned.

"Dad! Natures gone!" I started sobbing.

He looked at me. "I will go find him." Then, blue magic erupted from my dads horn. It formed a force field around me. The fire couldn't touch me. It looked like that took almost all of the energy dad had had. I ran up to the forcefield and put my hoof on it.

"Dad!" I cried. "Dad!" He put his hoof where mine was. He looked at me with so much love. Then, he ran away, looking for Nature. Suddenly, a burning piece of wood fell right were Dad was. I screamed while kicking at the force field. It never gave.

That was the worst day of my life. I lost my dad, my mom, and my baby brother.

Everyone used to ask me how I had survived... But now they don't. Because everybody forgot about me. After my family died, Princess Celestia erased everyone's minds of what happened. She didn't want anyone to remember this horrible incident.

Once, she came into my home after everything had happened. I was sitting down, looking at a picture of my family. There faces were so happy, including mine. I was tearing up.

Celestia said to me, "I will come back. I promise." Then, she left.

And she never came back.
