the message came when you were sleeping. after hours of tears and confusion you were finally able to close your eyes.

the sound of you crying woke mikasa up and alerted sasha who was downstairs. without a thought, mikasa and sasha both come to comfort you unsure of what was happening. not being able to get the words out you hand them your phone to show the texts.
"i'm sure it was just a misunderstanding my love, i'll call eren. sasha you call connie and see if he's talked to armin." you can hear the urgency in her voice. though the phone is to mikasa's ear you can hear the ringing and a faint deep voice on the other line.
an expression appears on mikasa's face, one that you've only seen when she's pissed off. she walks out of the room closing the door but you can still hear her yelling at eren.
a million thoughts are clouding your head, all of them pointing to what happened being your fault. between the yelling going on outside the door, the basket armin made on your desk, and the horrible feeling of heartache you needed nothing more than to get out of this house.
picking up your phone you ring up the only person who would understand right now.
"wasssssgoood fivehead" luca exclaims answering the facetime the way he usually does. before you can respond he glances at the camera to see your face, noticing the puffy eyes from the tears and the sadness all over your face he gets up from his desk. "i'll be there in 5 minutes n/n" he states.
you could hear his car pull up and his heavy footsteps running up the stairs to your room. "what's going on? what happened?"
last night.
"come on in. let's talk" you say as rome comes inside. leading himself to the kitchen, he sits at the dining table so you sit on the counter. "you have 5 minutes, go ahead." you tell him sternly.
"i don't know how to put it other than i miss you y/n, ive been trying to ignore it and distract myself but seeing you with someone else hurts." he pleads. "there's no way you're serious right now bro. acting like everyone didn't see you leave my party with annie of all people" you can't help but hide your confused facial expression.
"i can promise you nothing happened between me and annie." he defends himself.
"you don't have to promise me shit rome. i don't care what you do or WHO you do for that matter. i'm in a happy relationship and that's something you couldn't give me."
"you're not even hearing me out y/n, i don't want her. i don't want anyone, but you. i know it's too late, i'm not trying to ruin what you have right now. you're happy and it looks beautiful on you but i do want to start over." he explains, not giving an answer you just let him continue talking.
"every once in a while i visit our spot at the beach and just reminisce. i fucked up and i'm facing the consequences of that now. i've done some petty shit in the past but i want us to be good again. i'll always be waiting for you though." his sincere voice makes you want to believe him. for the sake of the friend group, you choose to trust what he is saying.
"alright rome, we can be cool but ill tell you now. i dont want no more snarky ass comments or competition toward armin." you tell him.
"if it means we're good, i can do that. i don't want to overstay my welcome any longer than i have to so im gonna go. before i do though, give me a hug amorzinho." he says as he gets up from the table and holds his arms out.
you come down from the counter and give him a hug before he leaves. "you've matured rome. it was about time." you reply.

i'll tell you something now y/n, that nigga is full of shit. i can guarantee that whole thing was fake." luca tells you straight up as he reads the messages between you and armin. "he was right about one thing though, he does not give a single FUCK about annie." he emphasizes.
"he's playing that girl bad, some shit i would do fr so that's how you know he ain't shit" he then adds on earning a crazy look from you and the girls.
"so you're saying you also ain't shit??" mikasa questions with a confused look on her face before turning her attention to sasha.
sasha told you after getting off the phone with connie that he knew nothing of what happened because he was out with his friends last night at a takeover.
mikasa said that eren was giving her a hard time, so that's how she knew he was either with armin or had talked to him. "he said to just give him space to deal with his emotions." she explains.
"he also said that you know what you did." mikasa adds on slightly whispering that part.
"gonna fuck him up. promiseeee. i know armin though and i know his thought process, whatever he thinks he saw is going to cause him to spiral. he will go back to every destructive habit he used to have, so there will be no 'giving him space'. i understand that eren saw that whole side of armin and he's only protecting him but he only knows one point of view." you defend, your voice growing louder and more stern. "- and we're not even going to get into that second part."
"all that matters is that we will figure this out. i promise this is not the end for you and armin my love" sasha consoles you as she lays her head on your shoulder trying to get you to calm down.
"luca get eren over here, he's abt to piss me off."
