bellamy kept his gaze on adelaine but spoke to murphy. "what's the plan here, murphy, you have me, so let adelaine go."
"you must not know a thing about leverage, huh bellamy? she's here so you'll listen."
adelaine kept her gaze on murphy, more his hands, as she tried to loosen the rope that was wrapped around her wrists. bellamy looked at murphy.
"i'll do whatever, just leave her out of this." he told him, voice stern. "this is between me and you."
"you're right." he said, glaring at the boy infront of him. "you are the one who tried to kill me, hell, you even kicked the barrel from under me."
"we found your knife where wells died." bellamy argued. "what did you expect?"
"well i expected you to atleast let me defend myself! adelaine said she told you i was with her the time wells died. you let them blame me."
"you just said it yourself, adelaine defended you, so why are you doing this to her?"
adelaine cut out their voices slightly, keeping her eyes on his hands. adelaine turned her gaze onto bellamy who was checking in on her every few minutes. suddenly the gun was pointed at her, making her heart beat faster. bellamy lunged forward. murphy immediately turned back, firing a shot, missing on purpose. "okay." bellamy spoke. "just leave her alone."
oh how murphy was loving the power he had right now. "that's good." he grinned as he watched bellamy began to loop the belt. bellamy glanced at adelaine, jaw clenching.
adelaine looked back at him, showing him that she trusted him.
"bellamy! adelaine! are you guys okay?" octavia's voice cried out from the radio. adelaien let a tear drop from her eye after hearing her friends voice.
murphy's eyes turned dark, a slight chuckle leaving his lips. "you want her to know you guys are alive? start tying."
bellamy did what was told and began tying the belts together, glaring at murphy as he did so.
"Bellamy do you copy!" octavia's voice called again.
murphy held the button down, allowing bellamy to respond to his sister. "we're fine. just a misfire. now stop worrying about us and get back to work, all of you."
bellamy turned to adelaine. "and tell raven to hurry her ass up." some relief felt onto adelaine as she realized raven was coming to help them.
adelaine watched as bellamy did what murphy was told, tying the belts together, scowling as he did so, trying to look tough. adelaine saw right through it.
"alright that's long enough." he told bellamy. "tie those two ends together."
adelaine eyes widened when she felt something sharp poke her. her knife. "alright, now toss it over."
